I have been watching people fix up sailboats for a few years and this is the first rebuild I have watched on a power boat. You guys are doing a great job it is definitely interesting watching you both. You do a great job of keeping it interesting and I like the fact that you both talk about how you are learning as you go..
Wow what a difference love the white walls and grey carpet gives the room a massive lift , are you intending changing mattresses in time on the boat 🚤,when the dead skin cells where talked about I got the shivers for you lol 😂 what a talented duo you are many thanks for bringing us along cheers 🍻 Paul
So much brighter. Have you thought about double-sided tape instead of glue? That way if you need to remove for any reason, you will not damage the carpet.
Hi people 🙂did some Binge watching last evening and watched all the 15 episodes :P good filming!! . I have to say i am i kind of jealous, me and my wife we rent every summer a boat to go for 3 ore 4 weeks for our holiday on the the Dutch waters (jep I am from the Netherlands) We would love to have our own boat and do what you do but the nearest harbor is over 2 hours driving and that's a bit of yeah not ideal to do a project like yours, we both have our day jobs and just don't have the time traveling every weekend to the harbor so we can work on it, and that also would take far far to long so we keep renting.... Now about all the work so far, what i have seen is pretty amazing and it becomes more livable and looks nice!, I have fait it's all coming together and i know one thing, your two will know every nook and cranny when your done. I think that's a great plus about having your own boat and knowing it so well. So keep posting dose videos, there very enjoyable to watch, like the cat ho he is managing around you two working, sits ore lying on top every time is nice and fun to watch!! I don't know if you have thinking about 'what to do with the 'dark' wood' inside the boat (al the strips, doors, drawers and so on) but what i think that would really help is a good rub with some linseed oil. It's easy to do it takes just an old towel put on some oil and than rubbing the wood and later on polish it up when dry ore repeat. I think the wood will come back very good like it was when it was new, just one thing!!!!! watch out with the towels and the oil, soake them in water when you stop working, the towels otherwise will go scalding and they can start to burn (been there done that......) So be carefull with that. So for now Aye, aye, captains!! greets Mark.
Hi Mark, thanks for watching. We love to here peoples stories in the comments and get to know them a little. We started in a similar situation as what your in right now. We both work day jobs and live about three hours (including the ferry) from our boat. At first it was difficult coming out every other weekend to work. Eventually we got the boat in good enough shape to live on a couple weeks at a time. It helps that we can work remotely. Thanks again for watching and sharing.
We have a few holes underneath which are hand holds to pull out boards, we may need some more. We'll monitor humidity and adjust accordingly, thanks for the comment.
It's nice to watch a series that doesn't sexualize it with thumbnails of the wives body for clickbait. I'm excited to see the end product. Good luck you two. Keep it classy.
Down the road you could put some teak veneer on the chain locker bulkhead for a yachty look. Crosscut wood in Seattle has a paper backed Teak veneer in glue up or peel and stick. You would clear coat it after its up. Rebedding the portlights would be a good idea also , leaks are a pain. The teak veneer would be good for damaged wood as you find it also.
Hey guys. I just found your project today and have subscribed. This is awesome. I have an old Bayliner 3288 I found several years ago that sat on the hard for over a dozen years. It was a long but awesome process bringing her back to life. And I too work in the cybersecurity space here in Seattle. Anyway, looking forward to watching your progress and now have an idea for what to do with my old wallpaper and the grey "monkey fur" Bayliner stuck over everything.
hello Seeking Seas. many thanks for the vidéo and what a transformation indeed. your hard work and patience will pay off in the long run. looking forward to seeing you travel as you navigate the waters of the San Juan Island region. cheers from France
Pressure sensitive Glue.. Stays moist just reapply and fix the New carpet.. you should do the front Bulkhead as well.. that's how I do these boats.. /P s I Install Floorings In Super Yachts , Launches, All Around The World .. I'm based in New Zealand...
Its coming along guys. I would reseal those portholes. Looks like some previous water damage around them. It would also give you a chance to re finish around them.
Hello friends. That seems to be a female inquisitive cat. My Tom is like, go do whatever you want. Butt out of my life. If you ever find a single sailor, let me know. Loving every second of it.
Don’t glue the carpet down. Use snaps or Velcro so it can be removed if it gets wet. You may want to use a waterproof paint underneath the carpet also.
Great job guys, nice choice of colours, and I see the boss there showing you how to do things, he does like to micro-manage doesn't he, you could try some "Gumption" on the head liner ( If you can get it there in USA) it may brighten it up a bit for you, All the best, Al
I literally binged watched all episodes tonight and honestly they were absolutely great 👍 so I love how the remodel is going!, just and idea but will y’all replace all 12v light with new LEDS plus that will save a ton of power and the brighter the better😁 so my second question and statement kinda is y’all work so good together and I know this boat will be sentimental to y’all and being y’all’s jobs are demanding and you have to be in the general area can y’all and I can see y’all possibly doing other boats to Flip!? I know this one y’all will keep, but will there ever be a thought to flip some? Y’all just work so good together and that would be so cool to see!!!! Thanks for the great entertaining vids!
Thanks for watching, we have considered doing other boats but that would depend on if we find the right boat at the right time. We are definitely doing LEDs very soon.
Thank you for watching, the ceilings are a headliner fabric material stretched tight do we didn't even think about painting. Turns out there is paint for vinyl and such, so we ate considering it at this point. We may try to get it a little cleaner first.
Great suggestion, we're planning on filming a full walk through progress video this summer. Honestly we haven't checked the state of the electronics yet, but will be replacing them as needed. We're also thinking of reaching out for sponsorship opportunities, do you have a recommendation on your favorite brand?
@@SeekingSeasUpgrade to all Garmin. Good quality and technical support. The Garmin VHF radio has built in antenna. You can have dual touch screens with one screen dedicated for gauges.
If you are going for some insulation - which I want to agree - be sure to chose one that takes no water / moisture. My experience (from sailing boats) - sleeping in the v-berth you often touch the sides. If they are cold, it's uncomfortable all the time.
@@SeekingSeas perhaps ask "sailing Uma" they did a similar job. At hardest - they stood in Norway last winter. Was astounding to me. In that cold surroundings I assumed every ml of vapor would condensate anywhere in the ship.
I subbed to see two people who have no idea what they're doing trying to fix up a boat. But since you left us hanging, and no more uploads I am unsubscribing. Not cool
The white walls and light grey carpet really makes the small V berth look and feel larger! Looks great.
Mr Crowley never disappoints ! I just lost two of my four Black Cats , they were 15 years old .
I'm sorry for your losses 😞 black cats are the best!

Thank you! We did in fact replace the mattresses, it will be in an upcoming video 😄
So much brighter. Have you thought about double-sided tape instead of glue? That way if you need to remove for any reason, you will not damage the carpet.
Thats a great idea, thanks!
I had a black cat growing up. His name was Mr. Crowley from the Ozzy Osborne song. Digging the videos and making great progress on the vessel.
That's amazing, we call him Mr Crowley too. He's named after a character from the show super natural....Definitely not as cool as Ozzy.

Hi guys, drill a handfull of holes in the woodwork under your matrasses, it will help the air circulate and avoid humidity and blackmould!

Cat code inspector - always watching 🥰🤣
Just finished watching all your videos in almost one sitting! You guys are doing awesome on the restoration. Can’t wait to see it done ✅
That v-berth has always been dark and gloomy. You two are tag teaming these projects nicely. It really looks great
It's nice to watch a series that doesn't sexualize it with thumbnails of the wives body for clickbait. I'm excited to see the end product. Good luck you two. Keep it classy.
I love your cat - always in the middle of things!
Crowley is so cute and is lucky to own such nice and caring humans as yourselves:)
You both are doing a wonderful job, this little boat is really looking magnificent. Cheers!

in steady of gluing down the carpets try velcro will hold them in place and easy to remove when needed
Great advice, we'll do that
Good job, greetings from Siberia))
You guys are taking me back many years. I did the same thing with my V-Berth. Thanks for the memories
Just found your channel today and binged watch all your videos. I’m a huge fan, keep it up!
Thank you for the kind words!

Thanks for the great advice, wasn't familiar with pressure sensitive glue. We'll have to try that. We'd love to hear your thoughts on flooring ideas.
If you want to nullify it ..Sprinkle baby talcum powder over it and brush into it ..plus it smells nice..
Well I just spent the last couple of hours watching ep 1 to 15. Great work I’m hook on the channel you guys are great. Subscribed!
Thank you for watching, we're glad to have you.
Nice job on the remodel and everything👍

Our cat is male but still very curious, he gets into everything, lol.
I love your videos, greetings from the island of Mallorca, Spain
Looking good!
Crowley is so cute💖
Wow the boat is coming along great, gonna be ready for cruising in no time!
Its already looking good I only can imagine what its going to look like done..
love your cat! allways arround you. Thats a good sign!
Love the project and the work you have done so far. I'm watching with interest from down in New Zealand. Keep it up guys.
Thank you! Great to know we have supporters all over the world.
Looks great

Thanks for the advice, we'll look into other methods to secure that carpet.
almost there guys 😁✌🏼✌🏼✌🏼 ❤❤🇧🇪🇧🇪🇧🇪🇧🇪🇧🇪
The transformation is amazing, keep up the great work and in no time you'll have an awesome home.
Neat job.
Really enjoyed this one guys. I love the 😺 so funny.
Nice one!
Looking good guys keep up the amazing work 👍 👍👍👍
Fab job looks nice and bright..

Never heard of gumption, we'll look for it.
Hi Guys, You did an Amazing Job on Your V-Berth‼️🙂
Yall all work so well together. Even your cat is getting to work! LOL
Nice job and funny cat🤓

Had to watch again. What a difference it makes. Curious. How come you did t paint the ceiling? Night and day difference.
Thank you for watching, the ceilings are a headliner fabric material stretched tight do we didn't even think about painting. Turns out there is paint for vinyl and such, so we ate considering it at this point. We may try to get it a little cleaner first.
Awesome work! Loving these videos keep grinding ✊
You should do it up, flip it for a profit and get an upgrade boat for refurb 😉
We've considered keeping this series going by buying a bigger or newer boat with the proceeds of this boat, and then restoring that, and so on lol.
Please do a current walk through with before and after video. I would love to see that! Are you going to be doing a electronics upgrade in the future?
Great suggestion, we're planning on filming a full walk through progress video this summer. Honestly we haven't checked the state of the electronics yet, but will be replacing them as needed. Looks like the boat will be yar
Crowley (?), is such an adorable soul, how did he get his name? What a great job you two, literally night and day, love the colors!
Thank you! Crowley was named after a character in the show Supernatural.
@@SeekingSeas I wondered if your cat was named after that demon! That makes me laugh even more now.
Right away I thought of Ozzy’s song “ Mr . Crowley “ . He reminds me of my “ Morticia “ .
@@SeekingSeas I love supernatural,though I can’t shy away from loving cass.
Dang! You guys are brave for not masks! 😬
Please invest in a hot knife. It will finish the ends from fraying also.
We need one for sure, thanks for recommending.
👍🏻

You should definately wear masks while doing demo to protect from mold, etc.
Maybe get a 2nd cat, can keep each other company, play.
Is there a window thats under water and u can see under water
No, unfortunately we don't have an underwater window.
I'm a fan of wood so although it looks better than before I personaly would have used varnish ..good job though .
Fair enough, we didn't think we could get a good finish on that plywood, it wasn't teak like some of the rest of the boat.
Such a shame you removed that kilt... I mean wallpaper.🤣
Yeah, im not sure who decided dark green would be a good color scheme for a small enclosed space 🤔 😂
How much did you pay for the boat? How much do you pay for moorage?
We paid 5k for the boat, and our moorage is around $700 depending on power usage.
What make and year is your boat
Those mattresses are questionable. 😖
We've replaced them, stay tuned for a future episode!
I swear to god I gagged. Sadly I was eating
Sorry 😞 we should put a giant warning sign before our videos start 😂😂
🤗🤗
