I feel like this game greatly affected how my mind constructed dreams for a lot of my life, especially the unchanging surreal background. Strange core memories being unlocked with this one
I'm currently 24, and there have been moments in my life where I would vaguely remember playing a frogger game on my parent's old computer during the time I was very little (I was still watching teletubbies and barney at the time I believe), and that game made me feel STRANGE feelings. LIke the feeling I felt playing the game was the kind of feeling people get when they stare at a liminal space picture. It was just super uncanny. This is likely due to never having the volume on when playing this game, making the experience all the more uncanny. Anyhow today I decided to look to see if I could find this game as the levels have been burned into my memory and have left me feeling super strange about the visual aesthetics of the game when I think about it in my head. Thanks to your upload of this game, my 24 year old brain has gotten a chance to revisit these memories and realize how UN-strange it all is. I just see it as a low rez looking computer game with silly sounds. But jesus I remember feeling some strange feelings as a kid when playing this game. I don't know why the game made me feel that way. So strange. The part that particularly stuck with me the most is the level at 0:50. Watching that part again with the volume off sent some strong ass nostalgia holy crap.
I played this game in a computer class with 15 other 3rd graders. We could have been playing pinball or cards but everyone wanted to be the best at this game. Major core memory
I think this game brings up so many strange memories simply because it was shovelware. It was mass-produced and sold in bargain bins across the world, and since it didn’t really have a pop culture presence, we all seemingly experienced it alone, only to connect with others who played it years later. What the developers may not have expected, though, was that they actually made a pretty cool game, and instead of just forgetting this game when we became adults, we are still talking about it
You just summed up every single thought that adult me has about this game. I still remember so clearly my mom coming home with the CD from Big Lots. Apparently, the dev company, Webfoot Technologies, is located in Chicago, which is not too far from my hometown. I wonder if others who love this game are from around that area, or did their distribution reach much farther?
I remember playing this at my grandmas and getting to level 9 on my last life. But I took the wrong path and mid leap to the finish block I ran out of time and got squished by a weight.

I assume it's the "could not determine the graphic mode" error you're running into. This happens when your screen size is larger than the game can handle, which is very common on newer computers. To fix this, find the "3D Frog Frenzy.exe" program. This is probably on your CD, and the file has a green frog icon. Right-click on "3D Frog Frenzy.exe", and pick "Properties". From there, pick the "Compatibility" tab and check the box "Run in 640 x 480 screen resolution". Then, press OK and run the game as usual. This should make the game playable, although multi-tasking with other programs is a bit of a hassle. Thank you for the comment!
@@jummysgamecorner hey Jimmy thanks for replying back. I figured it was that too since it's compatibility issues and i have tried that actually i almost think the screen is too large its a 32 inch. I'm also wondering if the cd is messed up I did buy it in 2001 lol
@@lexib5150 If you're worried about the CD not working, there's a version of the game available on the Internet Archive: archive.org/details/3D-frog-frenzy If you open the ISO file in File Explorer, it should create a virtual CD drive that can run the game. I've tried it out and gotten it working after applying the Compatibility settings.

But I downloaded the ISO file and mounted it and all that jazz, did all the compatibility stuff its the same error when i had the cd but instead says cant verify software publisher? it might be my computer honestly but i don't get those compatibility options when i left click on the iso file i have to open the folder up is that normal? I've been at this for years now trying to get this game up lol thanks for all your help btw i really do appericate this, its that weird register button in the Cosmi folder which im not sure what that is besides the iso file items for the setup files and all that stuff
