I speak French and English, and to me Spanish sounds amazing (I think it's the best spoken language), but nothing beats French when it comes to written things.
I'm french and I approve this video x') You guys are awesome.. but I didn't get the thing whit the mouth, it's a bit strange i'd say :') Anyway, keep doing what you're doing and I really think that if you take some lesson, you would speak french very well, I really like your accent, you're cute ! English people speaking in french are cute, I swear xD
I've been living in Taiwan for a while, only speaking english and chinese, and I met a french guy I could chat with last week. It hurt so bad to speak French! We use the front of the mouth! It reminds me of my French teaher when I was in 7th great "Il faut parler avec l'avant de la bouche". That's what they meant. English doesn't require that much lips mouvement, which is why French people have a very strong accent since the keep using their lips to speak.
Mh.. it may be right, i'll try to pay attention to that or ask to my American english teacher ^^ And also, they were in the south of France, so maybe there was something with people's accent there, I don't know =) But you're right, french people have a strong accent, that's also because they insist a lot on the pronunciation of every words when they speak in english ^^" By the way, for the fact that you have to wave your hand for the bus to stop, lots of people don't know that (yes I'm talking about me >.> in my town you don't have to do that but when I went to Paris, I learned a lot of thing x') Now i wave my hand everytime even if I don't have to :') ) So, voila, that's all I wanted to mention ^^
jamaisssXD The same in Belgium, we don't have to raise our hands, just going closer to the road is needed. But in Taiwan, if you don't raise your hand, you're fucked. btw, just saying "Oui et non" slowly makes your lips move a lot. Now, if you say "Yes and no", it is not necessary, and the "n" is a claquement de langue (no idea how to say that in English xD). A French speaker with a strong accent will make the "no" with the lips and the "n" with the tongue on the front teeth.
The thing about the mouth, they are saying we speak a lot with the mouth round. And it's true compare to american people who don't articulate that much, and us, french people, we have the lettre "E" (like "U" in "custody" or "E" in "the") which we use a lot and so that's where the round shape of our mouth come from. =) (only when we are talking)
I went to France with my Latin Class after my freshman year completed. At a gas station on the border of France, there was a guy who yelled at this girl in our tour group so badly, she was crying and wanted to go home. Our tour guide (his name was Danielle) wasn't going to have any of that shit. He tracked this guy down, who was sitting across from me at this table, and started arguing with him in French. I can't speak French, so I can't understand a word, but I swear it was so amazing to watch these 2 guys go at it (with words only). Eventually, our tour guide, Danielle, got the asshole to leave the gas station. But he didn't notice me until he turned around. He even said he was sorry for saying those kind of words. I was just like: It's ok, I didn't understand a word of it, but that was awesome! At the end of my tour, which ended in Rome, Italy, I gave the remainder of my euros (which was close to 80 euros) to Danielle as a tip. If you ever go on a trip and get a tour guide that is willing to cuss someone out because they made you or anyone else cry, make sure they get a generous tip!
Merci à vous deux ! Glad you liked France and above all, I like the fact that you didn't make a video about Paris which is usually what happens when strangers say they went to France :D !
the thing about the lips is that french is that we have sounds in our language that doesn't exist in english and that require the lips stuff. Like "eu" and "u" and "o", the way we pronunce it is different, and we have to open our lips and teeth way more than with english :)
Here in Portugal that is also the correct way to catch a bus. People in here apparently think it is cool to hang out in bus stops, specially teenagers.
Im from France, immigrated to Canada and i found this just plain awesome and hilarious! Im curious to know where you went in France though! J'éspères que la France vous a plus!
My french teacher in high school, who was actually from France did wear a scarf or blazer often and had hair that reached his shoulders. Very classy fashion there, I guess.
Ummm... I don't know. So many of the stereotypes are obviously not true. I totally have a thing for the French though! When I was there I did notice that it's really hard to find a free glass of water, a place to sit, or a public restroom. All of these things are very available in Canada :P
Briangames PC Nah, we just both laught at the accent X) People from Quebec and People from french could just not understand themselves even if they speak the same langage.
Thats crazy you're at the bus stop, of course you want to get on the bus lol. And the two french brothers were pretty cool too, the resemblance and all.

+Tiago Filipe In most countries you do, because multiple buses go past the same bus-stop, so bus drivers don't know whether you want their bus or another one, and there's no point them pulling over only to find you don't want their bus. Still, I'd imagine holding out your arm is too much effort for most Americans, so they don't bother.
Oof, a jump cut at 9:44. They never do that. They usually just shoot the entire show in one take (unless whatever they're doing is taking too long, i.e. a food challenge). Link must've said something bad (or ignorant) enough for them to edit it out. Haha, it's okay, Link. You're learning!
In my city the buses will stop if someone is there. They are never aloud to be early, but are always aloud to be late. If you pull the 'oh I must of dropped my pass' trick it works 50% of the time. But can only do it once per bus driver..
quand je vois un anglais qui parle francais , j'ai toujours le sourire. C'est bizarre mais c'est cool ! de voir la langue la moins difficile , parlez une langue encore plus difficile
Omg guys, you made me laugh so hard!!! I just remembered right now of all the adventures I had in France with buses and bus stops (and btw, in London is the same - you have to signal the bus to stop). The same rule applies when you want the bus to stop at a certain bus stop, you need to press a button which is called "Arrete Demande" beforehand. Because I was a stranger, I always lived with the fear that I will miss pressing the damn button and the bus won't stop :-))
3:50 Yeah, you have to do that in the UK, too. I'm actually surprised it's something you don't have to do in America. So in the USA does every bus that passes stop at every stop with people waiting? And then do you actually have to tell the driver "No, I'm getting on the next one"? And by the way you don't need to wave maniacally, or even just wave, all you need to do is stick your arm out, like you're hitch-hiking.
Usually people waiting at bus stops will get on whatever bus they catch first, or some places bus stops are pact so you try getting to a stop early to catch a bus as soon as possible so you aren't late. Even in some other places buses stop at every single bus stop if there aren't even any people, just because they have to stop at every one.
It's the same in Canada. Really, the only reason you wouldn't get on the next bus is if there were multiple routes at one stop, and if that's the case you don't walk out of the bus stop/towards the road and the driver realizes you're not getting on therefore keeps driving. People pull the dinger to get off all the time anyways so it doesn't make that much of a difference lol
The bus thing happened to me in Italy, couldn't believe it! xD What did they think I was doing there? Just chillin at the bus stop in the middle of nowhere with my travel bags?

As a french guy, i was as suprised as you two when i got on a bus in Bordeaux for the first time. I had no idea about the waving thing.
Haha Rhett is acctually right about the position of the mouth, I had never realised that ! I think it's because of the sound "eu" ;)

In the UK to get the bus you just calmly place your arm out, no waving necessary

It's not "Parlons de ce que", it´s "Parlons-en" or "Parlons de ça"
I don't do that and i'm in England...
