With interesting takes on the shape and design, on the software and multitasking, and on the cameras with the Hassleblad partnership, this could be a really compelling phone to get especially if you're jumping into a big foldable for the first time. OnePlus open may actually be the first foldable phone im interested in finally an outer display you can actually use as a regular phone too.
It's no different from the Pixel Fold.

It's WAY better than the pixel fold. Pixel fold is like an E-reader, 1+ Open is a foldable. No bezels as thick as your mom and not a chode of a cover screen. Big difference for sure
Pixel fold has that year old tensor G2 processor where as one plus has cutting edge Sd 8 gen 2 which is far efficient too. So battery life is much more on one plus. Bezels and build quality and display far more superior in one plus . They also nailed the software this time. I am going to trade in my S23 for this.

As a five year fold owner and federal remote employee that stopped using my desktop, labtop and iPad, using only my fold now for everything except for faxing and printing, what exactly makes the open plus open multitasking better than a fold? Curious to know.
I have been using it for 3 months and attended different places like snow areas and Indian wedding. The cam is awesome and iPhone is just nothing. For two things it must be in hand.
1. Great picture clarity.
2. After picture, big screen makes wow to see the photo. it's good experience. 0:04
This phone gives me hope for the bigger foldable phones. Still wish OnePlus could get the cameras to perform a little better. Very good first gen phone for them!
Its not a first gen phone… its called oppo find n3 in China which is basically 3rd generation

I've been putting off getting a foldable for a while now. My gripes with the z fold 5 and pixel fold were too much to justify the price tag. The cons I refused to accept were not there for the one note open. I don't care much for wireless charging (like at all, I never use it). After thorough review I've decided to pull the trigger and get it for around 800 in the process
One of the vloggers just mentioned camera condensation. Has anyone else had this problem?? Also, another reviewer showed photos smudged from the moving objects. Does it have motion photo features at all?
I bought one having come from the fold 3. It's the first non Samsung phone I have bought since the the release of the galaxy s2 and can honestly say best phone I have ever had. Can't see myself going back to Samsung again
Thoroughly impressed and OnePlus is delivering this type of quality for a foldable I'm anticipating the OnePlus 12 being close to a rebranded Oppo Find x6 Pro and I'm excited about that.
i am not excited about that. i would rather see oppo and oneplus bring their flagships globally, i don't want rebrand. i want completely different devices as they used to do in the past.

That's pretty amazing. I have a s23 ultra and compared to it, the open looks to have very natural colors, not that over saturated. Always did hate the over saturation m on samsung phones. I have my home screen set to natural. A lot of people tend to like the saturation, just wish i could turn it off in the camera
bro I know this might be a dumb question, but when you compare the camera on the Open to flagship smartphone cameras like of the iPhone or Galaxy, how does it compare?

Hey Josh. You can get table top photos you have to turn the phone over into tent mode to get it to NOT turn the screen off.
Can you resize the widows in canvas mode? Also does it come with the charger?

As an S23 ultra user, I am still not sure about the One plus open videos and pictures
I hope they fix the processing with software
If they improve photos and videos I will think about ditching the s23 ultra
But for real the Samsung software capabilities cannot be replaced by any other company
It's very hard to ditch the good lock app
So fix the one plus cameras and I will consider buying it.
Nice video, has anyone found any DNG/RAW images taken with this new Open camera, I would like to download couple of images just to try those with Lightroom etc, and see how good those are.

Oneplus generally have an issue with exposure it seems... My 8 Pro have the same issue, I ordered this some days ago, so it's going to be an interesting leap..

Yep, carl lei left OnePlus and OnePlus has become more and more like oppo. It has always been a part of oppo, but they had quite distinct devices until late
Right now for trade my Samsung galaxy s20 plus is $80 no $200 . Right now for the price is much better the Samsung fold 5

That's video looks super grainy. One plus still doesn't impress me with camera. Hasselblad needs to just stop. The collabs none have worked.
Yes I agree, I've been using all OnePlus phones and they sucks, hasselblade does nothing, just name.. OnePlus need to get rid of them quickly.. but I still love OnePlus since 2017 is my main brand, hopefully they can repair this camera issue with software update and I will buy it as well
I see oneplus still have that stutter in videos ( noticeable at the beginning of the video).
of course that's what every youtube reviewer would say. it should have been cheaper, why should it under cut samsung? because, at the end of the day chinese phones aren't as good as samsung so they don't deserve the high price tag. if it was samsung even if it costs 2000 dollar, i would still assume, u would still say the price is fine. i hate that. in my opinion, oneplus open deserves top dollar spent for it.

If you are in the US, you can't officially buy oppo devices. And they generally don't support all of the necessary bands

@@MayoneRajan why would I be biased? I don't review devices or get anything free. I've used the best flagship cameras and based on early reviews and camera samples of the Open, it's lacking big time.
@@Dannyar10 what are your standards? with most of these cameras, settings are adjustable, so 'outcomes' are almost always skewed. I don't claim any camera system is better than another outright. Only that specific features or capabilities are preferable.
