French antiques, my favorite
Hi Ed and Anna. Your kids are beautiful and very well behaved. I live in Australia but I am in Sweden at the moment visiting my two beautiful grandchildren. Love love love your channel and I watch it all the time when I am home in Australia. Lucky I have TH-cam where I am staying. Your channel makes me smile. X

👍
That was fun. I spent a lot of money...........in my head..............haha
Thank you just love the antiquing vlogs
You keep mentioning Friday, July 3rd, but Friday is July 5th. Thanks for the tour of beautiful things for auction. My fav was the gorgeous vase with the dragonflies...exquisite!
Nice Antiques 👍🏴
I love the orange vase, and the opera glasses. Thanks for showing us.
I do so enjoy seeing all these lovely things!!
to answer your translation question re the opera/cabaret glasses, 'un vieux cochon' is a dirty old man 🙂
Edd, Anna every time you go antique auctions I learn some history. God bless you Edd, Anna God bless your Family
Just spectacular and so much fun to see. Thank you, Ed and Anna. 👍
Thanks for sharing your visit to the Auction house and they are many nice things, wow can't believe how big your kiddies have grown, take care and good luck with the item's you are looking for and see you both next time 💕🌼🤗
Loved looking at all the lots thanks for sharing 🤗👍💐
Love Sue ❤❤❤🇬🇧❤❤❤
Thank you both, that was great. The Gallé vase was stunning; those pieces come to life when lit up. I’m off for a browse. X
I enjoy the way Emma skips so readily. wonder if she'll study ballet for 12 months ? It'll improve her confidence and concentration and, of course music and rhythm. Then a baby grand (leased) in the corner - this changes the way a child's mind works for both Emma and Charles. Even for a little while because it expands their way of problem solving ...
I always enjoy these episodes!
What a lovely family with model behavior in children. ❤😂❤ Great field trip, thank you.
Very lovely, dumps up for the two of you.
A lot of lovely pieces. Good luck 🍀 with the bidding 😍😘
My how the children have grown. Gorgeous. Thank you for the look around at the beautiful treasures in the auction. ❤
My the kids have grown. Charles such a handsome young man and Emma resembles Edd more very interesting video

I love the clock that was behind you when you were looking at the candlesticks
Bonjour Anna et Edd 😊
Brilliantly funny! Loved this video!
The books would be a lovely addition to the soon to be library at the old convent 😂
Love a browse, Thankyou💕
Edd and a sale room? Sounds dangerous!
I like the sewing table. It's a lovely piece for a ladies drawing room or bedroom. Pretty mirror.
That was fun, I love the quirky things, my fave is books and silverware 😅
I love "shopping" with Anna and Edd ❤❤
The leaves are easily replaced by a stains glass artist.
Oh Anna and Edd, you all know how to get our attention, this furniture is all fabulous!!! Thank you for sharing. Love all the furniture, I would buy it all. Happy 4th of July, take care and always, love and be safe family. My Son came to see me and I am so happy.
That was fun.xo
Edd and Anna, Charles and Emma are truly growing fast now and showing their own personalities. ❤ 🎉 Always interesting to see the items for auction, many quite unique. 😊😊😊
Edd Some Fabulous Pieces In The Auction. Xx 😊
I love it when you go to pre and auctions. Edd you seem to really know your antiques. I’d love to bid but getting something to Canada would be prohibitive.
Anna, your kids are growing up!!
Cute kids!
That was so much fun Edd and Anna....nice to see the children...they sure are growing up quickly...lovely people!
Bonjour all
Wow both Charles and Emma have really shot up in height.
Fascinating vlog. Thank you.
In my dreams I could go to such a thing... though in my dreams I'd have the money to make it worth while... instead of just wishes.
❤❤❤❤❤ beautiful
Woops sent too soon. Apologies. The drop end sofa.
A predecessor is the magnificent "Knowles" with finials and tie backs. Some fabulous museum pieces exist and seen in historical movies.
So very elegant. I have created a reproduction in my retail work.
Love your knowledge and finesse in finding beautiful antique and appropriate furniture, art, ornamental accessories and all that is with what you know, love and do very well, expertly.
Regards. Shaelene Read. Australia.
Edd great to see you not in pain it looks that you have listened to Anna and a lot of your viewers asking you to have a break from the heavy building work good for you. You are so knowledgeable about the antiques I keep promising myself. I will check online for our local antique sales. I don’t think you should take your children to the toy sale. There’s no time like the present to learn about toys from the past. Thank you for all the time you take to do these videos, Best wishes to you all from Lynda❤❤❤❤
I would never poke about like that without purchase if you break you buy Ed ;) the lamps were lovely. chandeliers are nice too :) that book bar curio would be perfect in Billy's library ;)
Bordeaux and Sean’s World are so interesting with all the variety of building and shopping. Great job. Very enjoyable!
Ed and Anna I love your shopping trips!
Je pense que je vais aller y faire un tour un de ces jours. Je ne savais pas qu'il y avait un hôtel des ventes à Portets. Merci pour cette découverte
You are soo Fortunate, to be able to go and have a look at these beautiful Antiques!
Take Care. 🇿🇦🇬🇧🎊
Jenny
Your beautiful little girl is growing up just like her mom,I saw it when she turned an looked at you Edd lv Ann ❤️❤️❤️🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Terrific episode! ❤
Hi both Ann uk 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧❤️❤️❤️
The auctioneer looks like a lovely man.
Edd and Anna, that was truly enjoyable. Your visits to the auction house is worth twenty brocantes trips. The quality of the merchandise is exceptional. The Gallé vase was so beautiful. The Napoleon III pieces were awesome too.
The faux books hiding the twin decanters set with glasses was so tempting to checkout, but importing it to the US, seemed likely to be too costly... So I didn't.😢
Edd, I'm with you on the stained glass panels. If they were a famous family which held some special significance or emotional attachment, I might feel differently.
Anna, nice close-ups. Thanks for the effort.
The kids are growing up so fast. Emma's hair has gotten so long. Both seem so well-behaved.
Thanks for bringing us along. It's always a fun little adventure.
❤ from TX!
hi anna and edd
Some beautiful pieces thank you ❤
Those paintings are watercolor. Even if the brush had many bristles the pater always had a delicate touch. You can spread the video by stopping it and use two fingers to spread. (Not computer!) Notice they first put multiple colors underneath then painted the delicate textures and intricacies.
Love going to these shows with you!❤
c'est une très belle vente ,il y à des pièces rares qu'ont ne trouve généralement qu'a Paris
Some battery operated fairy lights in that expensive vase would be beautiful
I love books that aren't books ❤
Merci x
Thenks for beautiful vidio about antik thinks! So greit and charming, so old and artistic...Ed you must moor eating, you are so much working in house, your kg. Is going...😢😅😅😅
I just looked through the auction house online. Lovely to see how much of them sold, and the price!
Thankyou for sharing another wonderful vlog. What incredible stunning items. I would love that picture of Gustave Eiffel but I am wondering how much your going for Edd ????😅😘😘
Loved this video😊
The cutlery set Anna likes is beautiful. I thought it odd that I did not see knives in the set. Wondering if that is unusual as sets I have seen have knives. It is interesting to see what is available and I enjoyed the video.
I know it’s odd in France they don’t often have knives in the solid silver sets.
Superb video.💕😊💕
Beautiful old furniture
Loved the vedieo with the antiques and your comments.
in 2024 the 3rd of July was on Wednesday. Friday will be the 5th. lol I love going to auction presales with you.. Would also like to bid but shipping to the US would be ridiculous
Friday is July 5 or else today Thursday in the US july fourth is being celebrated on the wrong day ❤
Ed I miss going to Auctions, love watching you Anna’s and your finds.
If I were there, I would be in that place the whole day. Such beautiful items. My favorite was the jade paint bowl. It is always a treat to see Metrobar,(? correct spelling?).
Charles and Emma are great like weeds.❤
I admit I am more interested in the live auction where you are bidding.
Beautiful pieces there 💖💖

Did you know that you can pretty-much remove those chips or "small nibbles" on glass and ceramics? I've recently discovered (maybe every-one else knows this already) that you can use Wet & Dry Sandpaper in increasing levels of fine-ness (I used 120, then 240, 400 and finally 600). I cut a 1" (2.5cm) x 3" (7.5cm) rectangle of each, started with the coarsest (120), dipped it into a bowl of cold water and gently rubbed away the sharpness. It didn't take long. I watched the evening news as I did it. I managed to remove all the nibbles on the opening rim of a beautiful purple & opalescent spherical blown-glass Vase, as well as some nibbles on the rims of some porcelain egg cups. It was not discernible that there had ever been a nick/chip/nibble on any of them afterwards and the rims were all very smooth to the touch. All 3 pieces were MCM, but those chips looked like small nibbles on that crystal crystal candelabra. So instead of trying to hide the chips, why not just remove them altogether?
I've done it to some small pieces. Works really well!
I have mother of pearl opera glasses in case that are beautiful😊
beautiful children you two have. ed your getting a braw suntan. lots of nice stuff at the auction.
Love going to the auction house!
The piece of metal sticking out on that urn-shaped clock is actually a regulator for speeding up or slowing down the movement. You have to have a special tiny key to turn it (you can get one from an horologist, but since there are multiple sizes they have to have the clock in hand to match the size), on my clock you turn clockwise to speed it up, and counter to slow it down. Anyway, I don't think that clock had glass on the front originally. To me the clock also looks empire. The little Christofle spoons are known as moka spoons here in France (like for espressos). Generally Christofle is silver-plated, but sometimes they do make solid silver. The Gallé things go for different prices depending upon the size, but also if it's signed during the period he was alive (that makes the bigger difference, in fact).
This was so worth it to see those lamps, I noticed a black one near the cabaret glasses too. What a lovely man who runs the Auction House. How much did the Lamps auction for?
edd are you impersonating jason at end 😂
Hi Edd, you looking good. How is your back? Your children are adorable!
🙏 my back is recovering nicely thanks
Great sale! 🥰🥰🥰
Ed Friday is the 5th of July.
❤❤❤❤👍👍👍🌹
