I've been learning Boat on the River by Styx... It has lots of tremolo across two courses of strings and is a nightmare. Just cant get the hang of it! I'm having enough trouble just on one set of strings string, let alone two!
I am working on Moonlight Waltz and it has a great tremolo part but I'm struggling getting the tremolo to sound clean. Right now it sounds like a broken telephone. I started to use a .75 size pick then went to a .46 pick. The .46 sounded better but the pick is very floppy. I went to a 1.0 pick and that made the tone sound better but the telephone is broken again. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Scott B from Texas.
I miss him so much too
Thank you. Do you have any tips on going fluidly from one string to the next WHILE doing tremolo?
This is a very helpful lesson!
Great lesson Thankyou!
Dankeschön.

Love that song!
I can tremolo between picking and tremolo, but can’t get it smooth going from one string to another. Can you suggest?
Barry, may I ask what brand your using and what other brands you recommend.
