It is a third term for Sadiq Khan as London’s record-breaking mayor begins a fresh tenure at City Hall - but to the background of tragedy.
Over the weekend, another Londoner’s life was lost, this time in a Bethnal Green stabbing, while two others were hospitalised following knife attacks in Tottenham and Battersea.

While London’s knife crime figures are relatively high compared with much of England, the capital is not the worst area when it comes to stabbings. NHS figures show that in Cleveland and the West Midlands police areas more hospital admissions for stab. I blame Tory Mayor Andy Street sorry Ex mayor

And 44% of the 40% turnout is roughly 18% of Londoners, he shouldn't have a mandate for anything.

The other two candidates got 43% and 40% (approx. Cant remember exact amounts)

When I visited London a few weeks ago I thought I had slipped back in time and was actually in the Bronx in 1975.
