You can blame it on the old regime but INEOS saw all the books before purchase and decided buying 27% of the club would be the answer. They must have known how crippled we were and were happy to sign up anyway. Needed a full sale and reset

To me it’s clear INEOS are crippled by the years of poor ownership. It’s harsh to be so critical of them when they’re taking over this wreck of a club.

How can you sell players if theres no bids? are people losing their mind and dont understand basic economics. you need teams interested and actual bids to sell players. and tbh, United did make bids for both De Ligt and Masraoui. Should we just accept what Bayern wants and overpay for players to then later, the same people turn around and complain again about we overpaying?

There has been intetest in players actually. But we still don't sell. Sancho, maguire,mctominay,awb,lindelof. There has been interest in all these players.

The more pertinent question is why have Juventus done that? All that's doing is devaluing the players. And if you don't get bids, what are you going to do, run with a much smaller squad for the season? Just because Juve have done something crazy doesn't mean we should do the same. Look how we've handled the Sancho situation this summer, by bringing him back into the squad we've probably added £10-20m to his value.
I've always felt summer 2025 would be the window to be excited about, a full year under this new management to scout gems that arent obvious and sort the finances. This summer there was too much to do too soon.
Good effort, Mark, but there is little to be positive about after that tour and the transfers we've seen so far. We're blowing the season before its started if we stick with these players.

De ligt Ugarte and mazraoui is the absolute bare minimum we need before the end of the window, that isn’t actually enough but it’ll do until January
Pinning all our defensive hopes on a player that has been bounced around (De ligt) he will need time if he is to do well in the premier league our league is the hardest in Europe and he’s left Italy and Germany

You said Slot inherited Klopps team so obvious they have a good pre-season, however, Moyes inherited a title winning team and look how that panned out. Created plenty of chances against Liverpool but took none, so why didn't Zirkzee play ( Modric did, and started against A C Milan ) so either start with him soon or get a replacement in. De Ligt, Ugarte and Mazz need to come in definitely this week, no faffing around.
Every summer teams have to refresh otherwise teams playing Man U have nothing to fear this year. They probably beat us last year so what will change?
I don't think Ineos can be held responsible for their inability to remove Maguire, Casemiro, etc from the club. It wasn't Ineos who payed ridiculous fees for these players alongside huge contracts to boot, which means that no other club wants to take them.
Continue to understand ETH, MARK, he will continue to back Mctominay week in week out.

Useless pre-season, injuries, playing those we want/need to get rid if, transfers shambles.. but few players not there.. totally confused and hard to get excited for whats to come.. always hopeful, still being disappointed. Same old fatigue of the club not delivering
Only bright spots of pre-season were Amad, Amass and Collyer. Our defence which is Sunday League level and our biggest worry, showed no improvement.
Actually even in the final third I did not see anything new and the abysmal finishing continued.
Mark wants the club to do instant deals. He doesn't want them undersell or overpay. But you can't really do the first without the second.
This what we expected under INEOS who arent majority owners. A full sale would have allowed these players to be sold already. We were quick to sell Willy and tell him he wouldn't get playing time yet wont have the same conversation with lindelof or Maguire. Onana, Mount, Antony were massive waste of money along with Sancho. Central midfield and backline should have been priority over the years then bring in the flair.
RASHFORD and SANCHO run this team no effort all year and still starters. The youngsters have some great role models 😂😂😂

I agree with marks points on us being damaged over the years due to poor ownership, but it’s starting to seem to me that a large amount of our fans just want us to play like city or arsenal, it’s never gonna happen and we all need to accept that we’re gonna have to build our own brand of football, unless your gonna persuade pep to cross the road!

You can’t argue that Ineos isn’t working hard to get deals done. I’m with them that we shouldn’t just bow down with an open cheque book before players leave! If we go into the new season with this squad then so be it! I’m still confident we’ll have a better season than last year! It’ll be far from perfect though.
It pre season and many players have been on international and if you play youth players you are giving them invaluable experience.

United is heading for a disastrous season with Fatman Sancho, AWB, Mctominay,Antony, Erickson and now we think we can add Mount to that list. We need to pull the #7 shirt from the squad for now.
3 years everyone. We were a mid table team last year with a very lucky cup win. I do believe ETH will be gone by Christmas as he was so poor last year. Alot of patience is needed and we will just have to run out the contracts to Casemiro and Antony (thanks ETH). keep making right decisions and year by year we can get back to a top 4 team from the mid table. We will have more time to find the right manager.
On the bright side at the moment we will be fighting for top eight
