Jesus loved Mary, Martha, & Lazarus. Jesus used to visit Bethany So the sisters sent a message to Jesus while Lazarus was sick. They said, Lord, behold, he whom thou lovest is sick. They did not even mention the name Lazarus. Jesus delayed to go to Bethany (4 days). I believe His love shown to them ( not just to heal Lazarus) but to show them the power of resurrection in their family. Lazarus was sitting ( he was not found in the house before) at the Table after he was raised from the dead.. Martha did not complain. Mary went on more devoted to pour the costly ointment to glorify Him. Power of resurrection brought a dramatic change.
