Simple and to the point. No stories, no pointless talking, and you told us everything just with simple finger pointing and finger tapping to help us connect the dots. I wish all how-tos on TH-cam were this concise... and quiet lol
@@Z-Twinturbo It depends on the problem you are dealing with. If the actual switch has failed (window no longer goes up or down) then you will have to replace the assembly unless you are competent at soldering and manage to disassemble it without damaging the housing too much. If it is the button you press that actuates the switch that is broken (window keeps moving in the direction you press after you stop pressing it, or the window refuses to move in the opposite direction to the last time you pressed it) you can replace the button if you manage to get just the button. It is a tedious thing to attempt but can be done. I had the problem with the drivers button where the window wouldn't stop travelling until it was all the way up or all the way down. There is bit on the button that returns the button to the centre neutral position once you release it, and that tends to snap off.
Great. I got question:To replace bulb (if there is any) for mirrors switch need to dismantle whole thing as shown or switch is removable separately and bulb is located directly under the switch? Or there is other way. Hell time consuming procedure just to replace the bulb.
Sorry, my English is bad but I will try to explain. There is never a classic light bulb in the switches, but always an LED, and in order to replace it, it is necessary to disassemble the entire switch. There are versions of vehicles that simply do not have lighting on these switches. In any case, I would not recommend that you disassemble it yourself if you do not have knowledge of electronics.
@@tehnicalife that's great answer. Thanks for explaining. That's why I could find anywhere how to replace bulb there. Once again thanks a lot. That very helpful

My Kia Rios 2012 EX driver side button/switch just broke! I was already stressing out. It's such a simple DiY fix. Thank you so much!
Thank you for taking the time to film this process.
Thank you for making an easy to follow video on how to do the replacement.
Thanks for this I'm about to replace this on oiuir car this afternoon and your video is clear and easy to follow.

Perfect sir! Thank you for showing us
Thank you for the tutorial! 😃👍🏼
Thanks for making the effort. Of course you have to replace the complete assembly when only one switch is faulty.
is it the only way? They don't separate ?
