Guys you people really need to open your mind and try using it. No one is asking you to mistreat your cats or kick them out of your house. All he is saying is to monitor them. He is a scholar and counseller all kind of people come to him with all kind of things and here you are judging and saying all kind of things. My sister has 15+ cats that spread all filth like cat turd, vomit urine everywhere even on the kitchen platform, on our chappals, shoes. My sister lets thm out and these coward ,wicked cats go straight up on our terrace and kill the innocent, unsuspecting baby birds, they rip them apart alive. They r carnivores, they have no sense but my sister has sense she claims. How can she mete out this cruelty to the innocent birds? Unacceptable! If she wants to keep so many cats, she can but she should keep them in the house, they have so many rooms. Recently,they killed my beautiful,white Dovey who had been feeding on the palm of my hands for like,ages.Dogs r good, they don't harm birds but cats r very wicked, dirty n evil like my sister. My sister feels that wicked joy every time they kill birds. This conflict has been going on for ages, the sin of the bird's suffering will all be on my sister, I m sure.
Do speak a word or two about kindness to birds n how these wicked cats harm the innocent, unsuspecting birds.

My cat wakes up with me before Fajr and stays with me while I pray, then he sleeps on the couch next to me while I do thikr, and read Qur'an, and sometimes the other 2 cats join us, Its so relaxing with them around❤

The cat is the most filthiest and cruel animal, they rip live birds apart. I hate cats, dogs r good, they don't harm birds n faithful too though we can't keep them even at our door. Alhamdulillah, birds, deers n elephants r the best

Cats WARN you of jinns!!! Don’t abandon your pets from doubts, be merciful & continue to care for them. Don’t listen to foolish misinformation, this will more likely cause doubts & constant self questioning your decisions about keeping cats. If you want mercy from Allah then do mercy & don’t abandon your pet who is dependent on you.

Why should animals be looked after by people? What is your base to claim such thing?? Animals can perfectly take care of themselves if the humans didn’t interfere! All these street cats in Turkey now are addicted to catfood and too lazy to move around that they become fatty. They are spoiled by humans who think that they do good. Streets are full of uneaten wasted catfood alongside with cat poo. Waste of time, money, energy, as well as environmental pollution.

In Urban areas food is not easily accessible to stray dogs and cats. They cannot always feed themselves.

My cat approached me a month before my mother passed away.
I was just standing outside and the kitten just came up to me and got into my home. Then didn't want to leave.
I feel like he is God sent. Because I literally don't have anyone to be there for me when I'm struggling.
I have been grieving the loss of my mom with my cat.
I named him Mikhaeel.
One thing noticeable is.. whenever Mikhaeel looks at me...... he looks at something else along my sides and around. As if there's someone or something with me that he sees but I can't..
They see energies
They see souls and spirit guides and angels. They alert us if someone is trying to connect with us or comfort us by letting us know that they are there.
I named my cat Misha as a short form of Michaeel! I got her because I am going through a tough time too!

Rasullulah Muhammad SAW told us that an adulteress would be saved from the hellfire because she fed a starving dog, whereas a religious woman who was always praying and fasting would be thrown into the hellfire because she was cruel to a cat. If you don't want to keep the cat, re-home it, don't be cruel and "get rid of it", unless you want to follow the example of the woman who will burn in hell for cruelty to a cat.
Before i brought my cats, i was disturbed by jinn that i couldnt sleep many nights n this goes on for few years until i read article that having cats can help to dispel jin, n yes it helps alot, now my cat is 9 years old n this 9 golden years i no longer been disturb by jinn with help of Allah swt, alhamdullilah cos cats helps to dispel the existence of jinn
I placed the Sajadah then go to take Wudhu. When I come back to the Sajadah, I saw my fur baby sits on it & wait for me to start my prayer, 🐈😆

This was taken out of context. Mufti has also said that taken care of pets are beneficial especially cats. Suraqah ibn Ju’shum reported: I asked the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, about a lost camel who comes to drink from my cisterns that I have prepared for my own camels, “Will I be rewarded if I give it some water to drink?” The Prophet said, “Yes, in every living being with a warm liver is a reward for charity.”

Don’t follow scholars? You think following Hadith and Quran is a layman thing? Come on… it’s a lot deeper than that, what nonsense you are chatting brother. Go study for 10 years and see how you will answer someone who said what you said.
Mufti menk loves cats, but also he knows what he is talking about. You clearly don’t, no offence. Cats are good animals, so are all animals. They all have their purpose, but don’t undermine the words of a good scholar.
Refrain from bad advice and may Allah reward you for your good deeds towards animals.

Regardless of everything Sheikh Menk mentioned, nobody said you cannot befriend a Djinn, there are good Djinns & bad Djinns.
I have 7 dogs & over 90 rescued cats in my care. It is difficult to look after all of them on my own but it’s better than the alternative of them dying on the unforgiving streets of the city I live in where unfortunately some people are completely devoid of compassion or empathy and inflict harm upon animals.

I have a cats too. One of them is named Lucky and this one brings so much joy in my life. The other cat makes a lot of mess and i have to clean too much but I cannot imagine getting rid of her. Now can this scholar say that? So disappointed in him.

Listen to it again if you didn't understand the scholar the first time, people tell them their real life problems, and they must have seen enough such cases to give this piece of advice. The word is "monitor" when you bring a pet animal to your home.

believe my cats are Jin but I am thankful to Allah he put these jins in my way. They have made me a good and kind human being. They are my best companions. Their presence is soothing and pleasant. They do not stress me but release my stress
I have had a cat for 6 years. He only had one eye since he was a kitten. The other eye was a problem for 5 years and needed constant attention. He is now free of his problem and enjoying his life, such a smart little guy!
To remove a djin from your pet is a SIMPLE task! And no excuse to discard the pet. Removing Djin is in general is very simple unless they possess humans. I have worked with hundreds of animals in my life, and you wash them clean them , treat them well, the djin will for sure leave. You can use sage, singing, prayers. Humans with djin possession are everywhere though, so I rather stay away from most humans.

Mine died last year and I still miss him, but I took a new one, she was previously homeless. It helps a lot to take a new one and you can give an abandoned one a loving home.
My cat brings me great joy, i got her in lockdown. I rescued her from a terrible fate. So as far as I'm concerned this video is tripe.

I'm sure there's a better way to deal with Jinn instead of getting rid of a Paak animal, our Almighty Creator has prescribed Ruqya for these matters, If cats are Paak then half the battle is already won, its only the Napaak Jinn to get rid off that's left...& Allah SWT knows best!!!

for me it is a bad advice to give away a pet just because a jinn came along. you cant control them coming so take care of the poor animal.

Cats can see jinn. My cat has definitely seen them and she hides, so I start praying and then she’s fine. Read ruqyah verses.
All animals have extra sensory perception. They sense shifts in energy. They see and feel and know the presence of the jinn and the angels.
From what I understand the angels can be an awesome and terrifying presence even more so than the jinn or the shaytan.

This particular point he is making here about cats is unacceptable. Because if it's true.. "Rasoolullaah would have named that sahaabi "Abu-Jinn" instead of calling him "Abu Hurairah" (Hurairah=Kitten).
And remember "Abu Hurairah" was not his original name. That was his pet name because he often had a kitten with/around him (Abu Hurairah=Father of the Kitten). Furthermore we find that Rasoolullaah had never disapproved that, interestingly he also kept calling him by that name. So if there is any harm he would have prohibited that. He had all the rights to do it - not only because he is the Prophet, but also as the master of Abu Hurairah (Raliyallaahu Anhu), which means he used live around the prophet, serve him, very dearer & closer to him. That's the reason why he is called as the Sahabi who narrated most Hadheeses, like Aaisha(Raliyallaahu Anha).
So here we should use our commonsense a little bit (specially since we find no direct hadheeses/records prohibiting this).
If raising a (pet/)cat is that much harmful Rasoolullah wouldn't have allowed Abu Hurairah (Rali..) around him and his family with his cat (or a jinn as some people claim these days)!

But what he said about a Jin that can come through a pet is absurd when in fact Jin’s can come to your home regardless and uninvited. It can come as an ant, fly, bug or attached to a human/thing. But to get rid of an innocent pet because he suspects it could be a cause of bad luck is a disappointment. How about telling us pray and recite surah Ruquea like I did and got rid of one myself?

It's a complicated story, but in short- Four months after getting married, my husband brought home an abused young lovebird for me to "rescue". She was so beautiful that it was love at first sight for me. BUT, my marriage ended up going through hell after that. I had NO peace of mind after bonding with the bird. The discord in our home went through the roof! There were CONSTANT arguments because of the bird; imagine that!
At the point where things became physical, and I got injured defending the bird- I found someone willing to take it for adoption.
Guess what? Things got drastically better for us. AND, I believe something was sent purposely through that bird to break us up. I know it sounds crazy, but I don't care. I'm just saying.

When i was still in my country that was the propaganda i was always hearing that jinns move through cats so people could chase them away whenever they see them but few years later it turned out to be that i love cats alot morethan anything i don't even hw my family will react when they find out bt it's not gonna bother me coz am willing to own a cat when i move out in sha Allah 😊😊

Hmmmm.. my cats been with me for 10 years… people say he is a jinn bc of how humanlike and different he is from other cats. After this many years, my cat and I have imprinted on each other and is my most loyal companion

Tbh honest jinns can be taken out with ruqyah so you don't have to get rid of the pet quite the opposite I heard bad jinns don't like cats but it can be affected even inanimate objects can get possession by jinn so all that is required is ruqyah because it Isent specific to animals or humans but certain things give it opening to come for example having pictures statues music haram activities watching sinful content even watching TV i mean tv is probably th3 biggest gateway for jinns to come and entertain rather frighten us becarful of what content you watch if you watch Islamic content Muslim jinns will come and learn with you hope everyone reads surah baqarah once every 3 days ayat qursi after salah and morning n evening azkar all these and ayat from manzil ruyah if affected ofcourse keep house clean fragranced say bismilah at 5 times before entering house 2 before unclothing 3 before sexual intercourse 4 before going to toilet 5 before eating
Also make sure no talisman charms crystals n the likes in the house which are magnets for jinns and most importantly stay away from sin most importantly do your obligatory actions and Allah will protect us may Allah give us tawfiq to put into action ameen
MY cat is very precious to me .
We got a LOT of discord in the house since my husband brought in his second wife. I got a lot of sicknesses and allergic reactions, and my husband too. Plus, he has become arrogant. Say whatever you want, I am positive that that woman is a carrier of bad jinns.
In the Al Quran Prophet Muhammad warned us not follow others books then Al Quran. Imams and followers of bukharie lead us on the wrong path away from Allah S.W.T.. that’s why the Ummah is divided in sects,we are not one like as the time of Prophet Muhammad .no Shia Sunni wasabi Sufi but we are Muslims. Keeping cats keeps jinns away
One thing I realised being brought up in a religious environment is most people can’t think for themselves. They constantly need advice for the most petty things. To a point where they get brain washed and become weak individuals who need to get advice on do drink a glass of water the right way. 🤦♂️As long there is “man, money and power” there is corruption. Believe in Allah, the one and only god….he listens and will answer your prayers….but be VERY careful of religion and religious groups….learn to think for your self and read the Quran.

also, it was my understanding that jinn weren't necessarily all evil in islam, that some could be neutral or even good? Is this the case? If so, could a cat bring a good jinn?
I once adopted a cat from a shelter. He was fine for about 2 weeks. Then he began acting strange, growling at the walls, hissing. Soon after that, he fought me over the blanket at night and got territorial, turned into the cat from Hell. Took him back to the shelter, before he shredded me, that ingrate bastard!👹

This is why i share the same trauma with Rasulullah ﷺ...between DAJJAL and the false preachers, Rasulullah ﷺ fear the false preachers or the reincarnation of the Ahlul Kitab rather than the DAJJAL, since we were already aware of DAJJAL and his methodology, and he is forbidden from entering Makkah and Madina. As for the false preachers, they can enter and exit Makkah and Madina at their whim, and they are as much as the stars in the sky. When DAJJAL appears, the ummah will unite to fight against him, but on the contrary, the false preachers will spread lies and slander, causing the ummah to be divided. And almost none of those Ahlul Kitab ever talk about this Hadith. I dare you to find me a video of any Ulama of this last century talk about this hadith on any internet platform, be it TikTok, TH-cam or whatever, and i believe that those video will not have a lot of followers or subscribers. May ﷲ ﷻ ease your searching... Amin Allahuma Amin.🤲❤️🤲

Pets work like medicine for older ppl and lonely ones.pets r great blessing of Allah and Cat is considered sacred pet in Islam....try having pets at home one can notice good mood and barkaat of Allah Pak in that home.

Sometimes people will over love their cat that is to say that they will adore the cat instead of doing their islamic deeds for exemple.
However we have a cat in our house in Algéria and this cat killed one snake that entered the garage, sobhan Allah.
As this scholar says we should just monitor the cat and make sure he is useful and good in the family, and most of the time yes he is.
I lost a cat in 2011, he was my baby not my cat and his death caused me a huge pain and chronic exhaustment since then. Honnestly I should have adopted several cats in order not to be crazy attached to one cat. God created them so cute sobhan Allah.
If you are depressed take a siamese cat, but take care this cat will not accept an nother cat... but you will feel useful and absolutely necessary to him which should take you out of your depression.
I disagree. We have 4 cats in our home. They are clean and healthy, stay close to home and in the house. All is well. They cuddle with us and they play alot. No extra paranormal signs.
