I like the person that wrote this movie. She handled the situation in the most mature way possible. There is no other way to handle someone that is tribalistic. The only way forward is to leave. The guy has shown that he has no boundaries with his mum too. These are the signs women should not ignore.
This movie made me so emotional because of my personal story. I was friend with this guy for over 7 years and we gradually realized we loved each other more than just friends. We got together and quickly decided to get married. That was the beginning of my misery. For almost 2 years, I saw his family actively fight for us not to get married because of cultural differences (they wanted him to marry his cousin). I waited, I prayed, I supported him throughout without ever judging his family for their pressure. Unfortunately, I saw that he was unable to make a clear choice as the pressure was getting to him and he constantly made excuses to delay our marriage. I finally chose myself and ended it....unlike Phil, he never fought to get me back and gave up. As painful as it is, I think I made the best decision. No woman should ever feel less and a man who really wants you will fight for you! May God put us on the path of men who put us first and make us their priority. Ameen 🤲🏿

This is a very touching story, I saw myself in the picture, i remember a guy I was seriously in love wit though young and naive but I was in love, he was just an upcoming guy, didn’t av much but I was looking at his bright future, my mum hated him cos he was Igbo and am frm d south, she would insult him and sometimes pour us hot water whenever he comes around to see me, it was really bad and again she never liked him cos she said he doesn’t prostrate to greet her cos we grew up in Lagos, I loved him so much but I lost him to another lady. Exactly what the title said it was A Beautiful Love Story. Phil and his mom bond was tight until it became controlling/demanding which she was accustomed to until LOVE came along . Love open up Phil’s eyes as well. You can’t fight TRUE LOVE & what’s meant to be. I like how the film displayed the role of maturity of both women . Showing women that you don’t have to fight/harm one another over a man. We need more films like this. It was Enjoyable to watch from the USofA.

Ladies should pls do better, communication is really key...if Cece had at least talked to him after the breakup, maybe Phil would have confronted his mum the way he did and they will be just fine 2. Guys pls don't engage another lady when you're still clearly in love with your ex..it doesn't make sense 3. I really salute Yemi's maturity, she wasn't ready to go into a relationship when the guy is still in love with his ex...it doesn't end well. I think both gender needs to learn this! 4. A mother's love is second to none, but i think mother's should do better also... respect your sons choices and if their is a tangible reason they shouldn't be together, talk to your son about it in love rather than forcing it to the extent of threatening the lady. I just love this Uche Montana, first saw her act in marriage interview and she made me pico interest in Nollywood movies especially the ones she is starred in, I now search and watch her movies every night. She is so flawless in her acting roles, pretty and fluent when she speaks.
Always love how effortlessly, naturally Daniel Etim Effiong delivers in his acting. Uche Montana is also a wonderful actress. Great storyline, the actors have executed it so well.

Great movie. I enjoyed every bit of it. Uche is a natural and shehas class. Daniel makes it all look so natural and real. I like the way he speaks and his facial expressions.
I couldn't click fast enough when I saw Daniel Etim Effiong's image on the thumbnail because he's one of the excellent actors in Nollywood. And with Uche and Inem also starring, I have no doubt this movie would be a good one👌.

I so much love this movie!....so much to learn
1. Ladies should pls do better, communication is really key...if Cece had at least talked to him after the breakup, maybe Phil would have confronted his mum the way he did and they will be just fine
2. Guys pls don't engage another lady when you're still clearly in love with your ex..it doesn't make sense
3. I really salute Yemi's maturity, she wasn't ready to go into a relationship when the guy is still in love with his ex...it doesn't end well. I think both gender needs to learn this!
4. A mother's love is second to none, but i think mother's should do better also... respect your sons choices and if their is a tangible reason they shouldn't be together, talk to your son about it in love rather than forcing it to the extent of threatening the lady.
Phil had to learn the hard way i must say...the goal should be marrying out of true love and happiness not being forced to by your mother or parents
