I will never forget this vomit incident when Miko told this story long while ago. A lot of nice restaurants in the states will also serve some type of fresh bread with butter for free. You can't make the mistake of eating too much because you fill up fast and can't eat your meal or in Miko's case she ate so much she got sick.
i think because its AYCE she wanted to get more than her money worth of breads. the thing with bread, if you eat it while drinking it fills stomach much faster because it expanded inside which can make her feel sick if its too much
@@lqfr8813 it was not AYCE but a luxurious restaurant like 3-star. As you know, Japan is the best in baking and confectionery in the world, along with France. Miko never fails to amaze me. Eating too much bread and then needs to vomit from it, thats so Miko. This shows in what difference finance spheres they live. I would rather go to an APA hotel than spending so much money for one night.
About 20 years ago a friend of mine was on a family vacation and puked on the floor in the middle of a tour of the White House, I think in the Green Room IIRC.
I've also gotten sick that I had to vomit because I ate too much bread. It was a sandwich with homemade mayonaise and whatever toppings and I was hooked. Haven't eaten that same meal since because the memory of the flavour was that triggering.
what? the price didn't increase because she didn't book, it's because only the luxurious room is left hahahaha. You can get it cheaper by booking a cheaper grade, the price stays the same. Usually people will just book the next train or go home if no train/seat is available, but she's too pon to realize that.

I looked online and according to Expedia the rates mostly start at around $430 USD, it costs $50 extra to have a full breakfast included. It is considered a luxury hotel so there might be other fees and add ons that raise the price higher (I couldn’t find anything about the restaurant prices) but ya my best guess is the numbers got converted wrong Still $400 is a lot for a hotel, without food included. I went on vacation in Toronto this past summer and our room was a little under $200 a night
@@zerofox641 It starts at around 54k yen excluding taxes and fees, as for conversion they're probably just using the classic 1:100 instead of the current exchange rate. The "$1200" room is probably one of the suites or mansionettes because that's probably all that's left if they're trying to get a room without reservations, about 120k yen. So it's about right.
@@zerofox641 $400 sounds about right for a 5 star hotel, especially as it's in a good area and situated in a nice building. Also the peninsula Hotel, which is nearby to the station is $1200 a night at last minute rates

But, gosh, I have never eaten so much breakfast in my life..!! Seriously, if it costs that much, you eat. There was a Korean breakfast buffet and a western. I went through both each day.
Well damn, it's freaking expensive...but then again, I guess going without reservation does increase the price and if it was the only room available. But still, I'd feel like at that point any other hotel in the city would have been a better option. Probably further away to the station but at least you get a save a lot.
