You are very right This fellow have a good idea . It can be use for to be able to carry. Heavy Furnitures appliances and so on and not only a wheelchair. Matter fact even the grocery shopping .
Chair should be facing the opposite way. I'd at least use a swivel chair bolted to the floor plate and instruct the user to face OUTWARD to minimize falling injury or getting foot sliced off caught between the stairs and the floor plate.
This looks great! We need something like this too for our two storey apartment. Can you share with us how you did this and the names of the parts used?
Preciso fazer isso aqui na minha casa para meu marido que e cadeirante subir e descer as escadas, que motor e acessorios do motor foram usados para puxar a plataforma?

Gotta love all the people who are saying this is unsafe. These people are either scared of everything or they work for the companies that sell stair lifts. My father-in-law just had a stroke and can't leave the house and when we tried to get a stair lift he had to apply for a grant and pay a thousand dollar deductible. $5,000.00 and a 3 month wait time. Simple bars to pull himself to the toilet cost an arm and a leg. Thinking about buying a basic elevator becomes a fantasy because of safety restrictions and costs associated to the installation and purchase price. These nay sayer's need to understand that people either try shit like this or are house bound and or have to sell everything and go to a old age home. If you think home care is cheap you might want to take a long hard look at the insanity of it all. The way I see it, these people who are all about safety should take 3 months and be stuck in a house without a stair lift and housebound and I guarantee that they will be willing to try just about anything someone might think of to get the hell out of that prison that used to be called home.

Can you please provide what parts are used to make this and how you made it. I would love to have this for my dog who can not get up and down stairs anymore. Please help! Thank you. Deb
This is all fine and dandy until something fails or the cable breaks. Also, what happens when Granny's foot slips off the footrest and gets cut off between the platform the stair nosing. Spend the money and keep Granny safe!!!
I've been looking for years and quotes for outdoor are insane. I have 30 stairs to mt front door from driveway and I need to haul a LOT of dirt up by buckets because of it washing away, thank you! Going to use pressure treated and pray since I cannot install footings in the loose rock LOL
Niiiiice! my friend has COPD and has a hard time getting up and down the steps to our Home. it would be so helpful if I could build him something similar. Great Job :)
+Rui Campos Hi, did you manage to finish your project? I am really interested in doing for my garage this. For heavy load lifting. My garage is in basement :)
So you are trusting your loved one's safety to the braking mechanism on a winch? There is also no broken rope or over speed saftey which could be made. I have seen others DIY lifts that employed safety features, guess you diden't have time for that.
This is so awesome, exactly what I need to carry heavy stuff up my stairs. I will start on building one ASAP. Just got to make up a plan and do it.

That is so cool 😊 I’ve been looking for ideas for something similar on my Attic stairs … thank-you so much 🎉

and don't forget to add a cup holder
This looks great! We need something like this too for our two storey apartment. Can you share with us how you did this and the names of the parts used?
Plans for this project? God job, guys!
This is basically the same idea i came up with. Now to build it!
Genius; simple,easy, cheap; Thanks
Nice ... What about a rotating chair
can you make a tutorial? please
was that Putin? .42 sec this was a good start for my basement lift thanks!
*_2018 ??_*

duu? or did you mean duh?
Months try years I know people who spend years trapped in their homes.
You are 100% correct.
Buy a used stair lift. Much cheaper. Paid $900. And my electrician friend installed it. I am the 3 rd owner and have used it since 2020.
可愛的老爹^^
This is impressive method but space takes more.
If you have mobility problems you would trip on wire as he did and damage yourself. Needs refinement.
That's not a stair lift, it's an inclinator
Flip the chair around 🙄
Ei irmão! Esta cadeira está presa não é?

try a 120 volt harbor frieght winch
Get a new dog 🐕 It'd be cheaper
Great idea. Good job, for being home made. I would suggest an overspeed brake or a double cable, for safety.
Can you post a DIY video detailing the tools you used and the whole process please? I need to build one for my Granny
I WOULD MAKE A DOOR FOR EASY ACCES TO THE CAIR DOBKE CABLE. AND A FIRM CHAIR lol NO ONE IS ASKING ME JUST SAYING lol
灣仔站
Get her a slide for the way down, it's faster and more fun She probably does have much time left..let her live
فكرة جيدة لاكن يجب اخفاء كابل على اليمين أو اليسار موفق من المملكة المغربية الشريفة
Can you please share how it can be made
Can u use it as a catapult?
woh, very initiative
salute to to the desine
goòooooood
but the person who sit in the chair cant cotrol it
can this technique be applied to curved staircases?
No not possible
Probably have to put the motor on the lift. It'll be hard to get the cart rails to match the stair spiral, might be better off making a small elevator
how to make it?
Smart guy.
How to build this
Como faço
Space
eek bet that will also clip toenails real well too. im planning a similar build but after seeing this i tihnk a toe guard is a must
We provide such stairlift that occupies one side of your stairs, and is available on low cost
This is all fine and dandy until something fails or the cable breaks. Also, what happens when Granny's foot slips off the footrest and gets cut off between the platform the stair nosing. Spend the money and keep Granny safe!!!
Can you share how you built this? It would be perfect for a situation I have and I cannot quite figure out how to build it
what is the motor used
looks like a standard electric winch
I've been looking for years and quotes for outdoor are insane. I have 30 stairs to mt front door from driveway and I need to haul a LOT of dirt up by buckets because of it washing away, thank you! Going to use pressure treated and pray since I cannot install footings in the loose rock LOL
very nice, and innovative thinking fantastic compared to various similar ideas I browsed. Can you help me do one for our apartment
Dads as fit as fiddle bless him
Works pretty good , but I think I'll stick to a more safe lift. Lol
Careful she don't trip on that cable and break her neck
woodprix is full of awesome tips. Very helpful to me. Thanks
Hey! Get back here and tip the lift operator. Rides are not free you know.
That's way more useful than an actual lift, very clever
How to make this?
LOVE IT. Looking for a DIY lift for my back steps for my Mom.
Could you repost with the song my baby takes the morning train playing?
How fast it go .lol.alot faster then acorn stairlift
Nicely app ke liye

Shirley you must be joking.
VERY CLEVER, i enjoyed the trip as you got off!!
Perfect.
Well done. Very ingenious. One door/barricade on the end and it is fine. From Cyprus

Great Job :)
Hi..your project is simply amazing. How can I get details of it ? Thank you in advance!
Genius starts here.
Let me have rate for 15feet
Space moutain !!!
With no toes and or feet.
Thats actually really fast
Moves like an escalator
Great idea... I'm looking into doing one for weight transportation.
Can you share youre blueprints ?
+Rui Campos Hi, did you manage to finish your project? I am really interested in doing for my garage this. For heavy load lifting. My garage is in basement :)
Hoping Granny doesn't trip over cable like you almost did.... :)
A simple mod, or even a rotating chair, will take care of that.
AWESOME
Seems to perform better than so called "professional" stairlift's
Well, they have to often obey some ridiculous safety measures. This is just easy simple solution to a problem.
Genius, bro!

dangerous
Its a bleeding deathtrap! No safe guards at all as demonstrated at the end. Bin it!
