I literally love this house, it's got so much more character and interest to it than some of the previous flips. Chat can be so boring sometimes I swear, do they just want her to renovate every house to look exactly the same inside, light wood everywhere neutrals and modern styling?? That's so repetitive!
I hate when chat bullies her into changing things that were so cute 😭😭 I’m so mad I missed this stream bc I was screaming when she took the green off the fireplace it would’ve been so good with the green. And the kitchen is so cute green too 😭😭😭 but fr simsie this is my favorite house flipper Reno you’ve done yet!! MCM is my favorite style of house so this whole video was such a dream to watch!
Ok I have poured literally days worth of playtime into this game and here's a couple things it took me FOREVER to figure out: 1. There are glass walls that are adjustable in size, but you can only adjust them after you use them. And you don't have to make a hole for them. They'll also lay horizontal in a wall so you can make glass floors or skylights in a flat ceiling. 2. If you paint before you put a window in, you don't have to paint around the sash. 3. The square area rugs are adjustable in size, but only after you place them. Same with the columns. 4. They added roofs, curved end pieces, diagonal end pieces, and rounded end pieces for walls in the last update. The diagonal ones work like the stairs. 5. If you put pillars in *after* beam pieces, you can clip them through the beams and sometimes that is a cleaner look, especially in corners. 6. The weathered boards that look like junk actually make really nice cape cod style siding and whatnot if you change all the colors to white. 7. Metal ceilings. Trust me. Lighter colors work in modern builds, and the copper or bronze ones look good in more traditional builds. Copper ceilings + white walls + hunter green half walls looks awesome. 8. This is more for anyone who might be new to the game bc Kayla probably knows, but in sandbox mode you can go to mod.io and upload or download your own builds or jobs. So if you like cleaning, you can download tons of reno jobs that work like the ones you get emailed early on in the game. There's probably a bunch of stuff I'm forgetting and stuff I don't know yet but those are some of the ones that took me awhile to find. Oh! And last update they made it so you can sleep in a bed to change the time of day.
I love the color scheme! This style of house is really uncommon where I live and I love it, my dream is to own a mcm someday Edit: lilsimisie “That is…” Me: “beautiful!” L.s.: “Actually horrendous” 😂😂 Some suggestions for next stream if you remember: I think if you change the blinds size for exactly the size of the window box you can place it inside! Also I think you can pull the tealy blue from the rug into the blinds
Green marble for the countertops or fireplace would’ve been so perfect! I’m loving the green marble you’re seeing again in mcm homes. My 90s childhood home had green marble lol.
This is my favorite house reno youve done so far. I dont think light colors and pastels look bad, but this is warm and cozy and so much more visually interesting. It has a cool style with the green kitchen and all the wood. I prefer a darker palette. My inherited house in this game I am basically making gothic. Darker woods, black and dark grey with like color accents here and there. But I also plan to do mismatchy things in other rooms. For example I love the idea of a pink bathroom lol so one of them is going to be pink lol In my real life home I have some juxtaposing styles like that. I like the variation, I like to express all aspects of my personal style :) I dont like everything to be the same with a limited color palette. Like im not totally in love with what youve done with your inherited house but i respect its your style and im not going to sit here and tell you to change anything. Besides, I love watching you play this game and love watching the vods :) I dont have to be into your style of decorating to really enjoy watching the renos.
The conversation about the ashes reminded me of a time when some movers asked my mom why a box was labeled "dead people," and she said, "...Because it's a box of dead people." Hahaha. Literally a box of my grandparents' ashes. The movers did not find it as funny as she did.
Love, the reno. On the topic of HF on switch, dont, I want to love it I really do, but there hasn't been updates and several key issues that patches have fixed for pc version are still there, like invisible objects preventing wall placement and sudden random crashes. Those unresolved issues coupled with none of the dlc make it just a sad or desperate buy, maybe a young child wouldn't care all too much but for anyone else it will become an annoyance and much better to just get on pc
I wanna join in on the House Flipper 1 on Switch conversation... Yeah its not the best game on switch BUT if you only HAVE the Switch to play on then its okay... The packs are now out to House Flipper 1 however i dont think i will buy them unless i have extra money and they are on special... Im absolutely waiting for House Flipper 2 for the Switch... Its the only thing i have to play on...
I am not a fan of the green with that wood color at all. I tried to like it but it looks horrible together 😢 the wood is trauma for me lol I remember growing up in houses with wood on the walls that color. It was not it for me
