I maybe was too young to appreciate this performance being too hyped about Cantona at the time but this was a great showing by Keane. I think Liverpool outplayed Man U for the most part and it was a lucky 1-0 win. Hell if the ending wasn’t worth it though!

United's game plan was to stop McManaman from weaving his magic. Keane did just that the whole game. By this time he was already more of a captain than Cantona. I loved the way he screamed at Eric towards the end for losing the ball.

Interesting moment towards the end, Cantona loses the ball and doesn't bust a gut to get it back, Keane does and gets the tackle in. Gives Cantona a rollicking. Great players who led in different ways.

Just curious but why do you not like Roy Keane? If it's because of his aggressive nature, then fair enough. I understand how it can rub off on opposition fans and neutrals the wrong way.
However, he was an exceptional footballer first and foremost. He had excellent ball control and his passing was always crisp, unerring and purposeful. He knew when to speed up play and slow down the tempo, when to play simple sideway passes or more direct passes in between the lines. He rarely misplaced passes and was unbelievably consistent.
If you'd take a deeper look at his passing, you'd noticed that he'd more or less already have his next pass in mind, even before receiving the ball - which was why his one touch passing was so brilliant. And the thing which was most impressive about Keane was that there was nothing superfluous about his game. There was no dawdling on the ball or taking unnecessary touches or making a wasted pass etc. Everything was precise and to the point with a strong rationale behind it. He was very much an intelligent footballer, although he might not have been an expansive passer or a fancy dribbler.
