Ironically enough, aside from it being a wet ride when I went to SeaWorld years ago THAT WAS THE WORST PART that I feared and never rode because So LETS go for me imo, now I can ride it without all the sfx
Done that with our family yesterday, but the scariest part is that the Ride was down fo a while. All of us have to wait for it!!! Until the ride restarted, and wheeeeee down the ride
they need to have a better story line like what the old one was and also they need to make experience longer by putting in a third drop that's right of the two towers. Then it it plunges underneath the waterway you just went on before going up the second drop. Which as the narrative in it. 1:19 Then they need to make the final part much slightly taller and longer.
YESSS my mom is always like want to go to sea world ? Like ALWAYS she ALWAYS says that except now that COVID started we don’t go but it’s really cool I always get on it :D
We went at night, we only thought it is just a single drop slide. The second was unexpected and it was super thril at night since most of the surrounding was dark.😅
This one looks more thrilling than the one in Orlando where this one is more roller coaster where the one in Orlando is more flume, but none the less I'm excited to get the credit in 2 weeks at SeaWorld Orlando. I watched this video to compare the two.
Actually Sea World San Diego has to paint anything that’s tall a sky blue color so it blends in. That’s why Emperor and Electric Eel are painted the same color
@@coastervelocity3899 interesting.wouldn't they not want it to blend into the sky so flying things don't hit it? It's been a more natural rocky color for ages though too, is this a new policy?
@@triple7marc I know but this model has so much potential with the track interacting and not interacting with the water. Like the steel turns, drops, and stuff is really cool, and you could do a lot with that
It was down and reopened, I went on it and got stuck for 20 minutes, wanted to go on a mack water coaster but ended up wasting my time instead… Atleast I got to see backstage
I went to sea world camp in 2005. I rode this thing like 15 times. It was the only roller coaster in the park at the time. It's definitely exactly the same minus some theming which is lame. The elevator being pitch black is scary as HELL. It used to have projections!
I came back from seaworld yesterday and I rode that ride. (My mom and my sister thought it was only one drop and when I told them no they didn't litsen lol)
I rode this when I was 6 and do not remember that 2nd drop. Is it new? last I rode it was when it was still tan-colored and greek themed, before the electric eel was built and all that
Keep in mind that the grippy think is just like a paper towel role glued onto the boat. The only grip I had was a random metal bar. I felt like I was falling on the first drop😭 ‼️TIPS‼️ I rode in the second row and didn’t get that wet 1st row gets drenched
When I went on this ride it had a sign that said “no hats.” Because they’d fly off. And of course I see a dude with a boat and his hat flew off when it the boat dropped.
Yeah, San Antonio's (aka Texas) version is the weakest BY FAR out of three Atlantis coasters made by SeaWorld - haven't been on San Diego's (but have ridden Orlando and Texas) and can easily say it's Orlando, San Diego (from watching videos) then San Antonio. San Antonio still gets you decently wet, but the story is non-existent and is a glorified splash ride!
This one looks like way more coaster than being a water boat ride. If the orlando one kept it's theming and had more coaster elements like this one, it would be a very amazing water coaster
Dude I wished sea world had different things instead of so much roller coasters I really wanted to go on this ride until I realized it was a roller coaster which they scare me so bad!:((
Just have to suck it up. Rides are supposed to be scary, but are overall very safe. Maintained on the daily and on tracks with lots of safety sensors. I doubt the car you drive is on a track or maintained daily. You are way more likely to die or be injured driving to an amusement park, than at the amusement park on a ride
the old version of this was a lot better, i remember it being really cool but also scary when i was younger
I agree
This was my first rollercoaster it felt like a solid minute for the second drop
I was thinking that something was missing. Werent there helixes on this???
I agree
@@makisekurisu8594 same
They went super minimalist with the theming. Journey to the grain silo.
What happened to the ocean cinematic and voice-over before the big drop? ): That was the best part of the ride

I love the original in Orlando. So unique at the time. Wish they’d refurb it to its original glory.
But no, they had to get rid of the story and the theming -_-
Howling Burd19 exactly.
This is the best one
@@Howlingburd19 wha what? The theming gone in orlando one? Really? Last time I rode was 2005 and was great. Oh well.
@@teddym2808 that’s right. The story of the siren is gone, and while there is some theming, it’s toned down a lot

If you go to sea world San Diego, go on Electric Eel. It’s very smooth and fun. I’ve been on it

Same! But I went on it and the only bad part was the first drop cuz it feels like your gonna fall out. I recommend Manta and Arctic rescue !
My grandma lost her glasses on the last drop lol edit: that turn to the main drop is the scariest part of the ride for me😂
