  • Suc Song Moi (“The New Vitality”) is the only bamboo ensemble in Vietnam that performs its’ own symphonically orchestrated repertoire purely with bamboo musical instruments.
Established in 2013 by Dong Quang Vinh. The Ensemble's musical instruments are all made from bamboo by Artist Dong Van Minh (father of Dong Quang Vinh) - a prominent bamboo music maestro. Current reperoire includes Vietnamese folk music and works from world's classical masterpieces by Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Schubert, Debussy, Ravel, Saint-Saens, Offenbach, Elgar etc. All were orchestrated, and many rearranged by Dong Quang Vinh himself. Having inherited the passion for academic music from his father and combined with the unfettered mind of a young professional musical talent, Vinh set up the Bamboo Ensemble with an ambition to bring academic music closer to the younger generation with his unique and original style.
The Suc Song Moi Bamboo Ensemble has been regularly invited to perform concerts at the Hanoi Opera House, Vietnam National Academy of Music, Vietnam Television (VTV) as well as numerous private government and embassy functions. It is also one of Vietnam's music representatives - attending international concerts and music festivals.
Sep. 2017 SSM gain “Hibiscus flower Award” in China-Asean Theater Week, Nanning, China. In the same month, the ensemble was invited to give performance in Beijing to celebrate the Vietnam’s National Day.
Mar. 2019 SSM was invited as a representative of the National Art of Vietnam to participate in the International Music Festival “Belt and Road” in Shenzhen, performing along with the Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra.
Aug 2019, the ensemble was invited to perform in Singapore with the Singapore Dingyi Chinese Trational Orchestra.
