Matthew Martin sounds just like Susan Hayward as Helen Lawson!...I thought he was lip syncing from the soundtrack at first!! Great video!
My computer screen was sprayed with spittle as I choked with laughter. I truly love the movie, and this is a great amalgamation of it. Thank you!
O M G what I wouldn't pay for a ticket to see this. They've got to revive this.
How did I get this far in life without having seen this before? Now I am alive.
Those voices were dead on. Awsome. Thank you for posting this. LOVED IT!
Helen LAW-some.....

I saw VOD on stage in NYC in mid 90's. Funniest play I ever saw. I think of the show often. Thank you for sharing this here, & allowing comments too.

Thanks Keith!
This so right-on! I love the badness of VoTD and Connie Champagne has Helen down for days. Help me here: What is the lines that gets such a huge laughs after 4:44 "They should have kept her in a straightjacket."? CC goes on for quite the while with great response.
one of the greatest lines/moments in gay culture, ill go out the way i came in....undefeated ....unchanged ... undiminished!

Thanks Michael! Sent you a message...I hope I got the right person....in PA?!
I would LOVE to Micah! Thank you!
You get out of my way cus I got a man waiting for me!
Aw, come on, WHO ARE THE SIX-SIX-SIX who disliked this?
You're welcome, my pleasure. Is there any more of your work on youtube? I confess Iam a rabid fan now. There is so much that is vapid on youtube it is exciting to see real talent...You have powerfrul stage presence.
I loved this - was nuts about the live version done in Los Angeles around this time period. Barbara Perkins came to one of the performances I saw. This is hilarious.
Would have loved to been there - especially with Perkins watching it :)
What year did this happen, please?
That was pretty good but where was Jennifer
Every single time I try to play this video it gets stuck at 2.36. Every time! Please could you see what's wrong?
half expect him to start singing "Don't You Want Me"
medea thats my connie
i love connie, but whoever did the music for the first song arranged it waaaaay too fast..
Really funny I think. Although the original is pretty campy already.
He could have put the wet wig on at the end.
Not bad..............
I like the actual film better
He's got a much better voice than Patty has for sure.
Fun but bad at the end, Neeley is always sad!!
DISLIKE THIS ONE...................
the end is sad not funny
