Nope. It’s bc you’ve created too many ids from ur ip or whatever. Jus create on another device. Same happened to me. Very annoying. Apple support was no help of course

I just used this method and it worked. I used it on an extra phone I have that I didn't want tied to my main Apple ID. Once I finished the method here (and verified the new Apple ID email), I went into 2 factor identification and added my real phone number and deleted the fake one. So now I have a new Apple ID with the correct number.

Apple now asks if phone number is text or voice. If you provide a fake number it is unsuccessful in making the call and says could not create account Aug 23, 2024
