- In this weeks video I Modify my Crazy Cart to be Comfortable For Tall People! The V5 Crazy Cart is Much Better for taller people BUT I DON'T HAVE ONE! So Lets make this one work!!
I moved the seat back almost A FOOT to account for my long legs, but doing so meant I had to relocate my batteries and motor controller! All my wiring got shortened and simplified, I welded up a battery tie down, and also added a plate to hold my switch and charging port!

I have been trying to find a video like this forever. No one actually shows this stuff so for you to be doing this helps a lot. I'm planning on building one with my Dad soon.
Good luck! Let me know how it goes!!
Thanks for the help, I have 5 boys and its getting nice out
This will be so helpful, i just purchased a free one from facebook market place and after i get everything working I will definitely do this. Liked and subscribed man.
Good luck! Be careful not to move the seat too far back!! Sometimes, when I go too deep in a corner It will pick up for front end and I crash. It's not too bad you just have to drive a little different
Is it possible to make it without motor and make it with pedals and chain?
what size were the rear roller blade wheels. theres 3 sizes to choose from
That cut off wheel is no joke if it kicks back and catches your T-shirt!!! Your homebuild will have to wait till you get back from being stitched up in the ER. Depending on where it digs in to your flesh. I've worked in machine shops since 1994 so I've seen a few mishaps. I would say the angle grinder with cut off wheel has inflicted some of the gnarliest lacerations to date. Hope this saves someone a trip to the ER. That being said. Nice upgrades on the kart!
Im cutting plastic lol
Mine had stabilizing posts not wheels but can I still add this heavy duty caster upgrade? And if so what should I be looking for exactly at Lowe’s ? I just got one too bro and I’d love to see an update on these carts bro I’m hoping have mine built up to at least how you have yours at the moment of this vid.
I think you can unbolt the posts in exchange for wheels. Lowes and home depot have a section just for castors and wheels, Just bring your old stabilizer in and match up the bolt pattern
Where did you get the seat???
Does moving the seat back not make you tip over way more? When I relocated my seat it F'd up the weight ratio and caused me to be extremely rear heavy and constantly tip backwards
It does if I really throw it into a corner. I'm about to add the wider longboard wheels from taxi garage to the rear
Hey so I recently just modify my crazy kart, the exact same one you have and I’m dealing with it wanting to pop a wheelie here and there, how can counter that so it’ll stop trying to pop a wheelie I did everything the same way you did, let’s see if adding new roller blade wheels help. Thanks and let me know
Mine pops a wheelie now and again! You can counter it using your body weight over the steering wheel. Also if you get the taxi garage wide castor upgrades for the rear it helps
10:14 Song?
How do you get the wires and battery detached?
Pull
you should work on the go-kart. that looks like a fun project.
Thanks! It just needs a couple things once the frame gets cleaned up
Agreed!
@@mobilemotorsport go to harbor freight but a predator engine and then stop by Home Depot to buy some PVC pipe for the rear tires. you got yourself a drift missile.
Ive been trying to find some PVC pipe large enough but everything local is 6 inch or smaller..
@@mobilemotorsport what are the tire dimension on your go-kart?
Part number for the front casters and wheels?
Idk but just go to Lowes or home depot
does the seating position feel the same as the cart XL? im planning on getting one just for fun but i dont think my 6'4 azz would fit in one lol
Id probably get the XL then.. Im 5'10
Yo I know this was a year ago but if you see this I would like to let you know your cat and my cat look EXACTLY the same. Our cat the doesn't have a big orange spot of the head, bhut other than that they look like siblings. (Her name is Glare)
looks like i wont be spending $700 on a brand new version 5 (in canada so prices look higher but really its not)
That's what I like to hear!
@@mobilemotorsport ye im getting used one too so lets hope it goes the same way that you did with all the modding
Careful not to mount the seat too far back, if you go too hard into a corner the front can sometimes pick up and you lose control. The wider londboard casters for the rear will help. I think taxi garage sells them
@@mobilemotorsport aight but honestly im still kinda small so i might just move the battery to the front
I thought about that but then I wouldn't have room for my feet!
How tall are you?
