Inspiring work guys and to you both a valiant effort from start to finish. As always amazing work and thank you both for taking us along for the ride 🇨🇦👍
22-and survival for another day - very sensible decision- its said that the lake District can have four seasons in twenty minutes and yep you got them all there-thank you for sharing this with us- stay safe and well x
Well done guys, beautiful if not a tad wild views! 😂 you definitely made the right decision, knowing when to call it due to weather, injury etc. is the most important mountain skill to have. The hills will always be there to try again!
Thanks Andrew, very tough going but we expected no less. The winds however, much stronger than expected as they made the decision for us and the 23rd peak wasn’t to be!
Great video, it must have been frustrating not finishing off but the conditions as you said life threatening. Enjoyed the part coming off Fairfield it looked like another planet. 👍
Definitely the right thing to do, we certainly don't give up easily but we had no choice really. I thought the same regarding Fairfield. The sky was amazing, the whole setting looked so moody. Amazing really! Thank you for watching, appreciate it 👍
Just subscribed. As a 60 yr old man,who has recently taken up running, watching you two,is like watching some fantasy characters, totally beyond my comprehension. Training for my first marathon in May (Rob Burrows Leeds).
Thank you Alan, really appreciate you taking time to watch and also for subscribing. We love being outdoors and no more at home than on the fells. It’s the opposite of everyday life. Best of luck with your marathon and your running journey in general 😊
Your both made of hard stuff, true northern grit. Well done for making the right decision and not getting summit envy. You'll just have to do it again in spring 😎
Definitely up for doing it again and won’t risk everything for a reward that’s achievable on another day. Still really enjoyed it, a typical hard mountain day which we crave for. Love it!! Thanks 😊
Fantastic effort from the both of you , it looked very tough going on your Fairfield footage! Well done and good decision making getting off the fell 👍
🤣 Great Intro. I had been saving this video for when i came off night shift and feeling cold i decided to watch it. I felt even more colder at the end 😆 Love the little recap at the end also. You get to reflect on your experience and share it. By the way just last week i was briefly in Manchester and went into 'Go outdoors' for a new Montane Jacket. Never been in that store before....Heaven best describes it. It's like the Trafford shopping centre of hill walking gear. We don't have that shop near me and i was so glad i left my credit card at home else i would have maxed it out 😂 P.S. Gin Pit all signed up for 😉
Thanks for your comments, always appreciated. The Go Outdoors store in Manchester is quite impressive, lots to spend money on. Definitely don’t feel safe when we visit! GinPit 🤔 Could work for us as a long training run but it’s one week before the 100km Lakes Traverse. We could maybe just trot around it, hopefully getting the benefit from the miles whilst saving our legs. Either way, if we don’t do it I’m sure we’ll pop down to hopefully see you 👍
@@TrailRunningCouple Yes, i signed up for the Gin Pit for many reasons. The main reason is to get back up to marathon speed again. Something I've been lacking for the last 3 years. I'm sure I'll bump into you at some point anyway before the Lakeland 100 😎
Great effort especially in the dark weather was horrid sat strange as it started with promise early on safety first tho wise Choice we planned a sunset from hallin dell decided to leave it
Yeah, there were times in the day that lead us to believe it had turned for the better. Those winds though! Can’t blame you for cancelling the sunset! Thanks 😊
Thank you. We got a video uploading now, may be ready tonight though could be Sunday morning. We’ve tried to talk a little about our fuelling but it’s very distance dependent.
😱🥶😱🥶😱🥶 Absolute respect. You will get back and finish it.
Definitely, wasn’t our day yesterday though! Thank you 😊
Super effort you two and as the saying goes 'getting to the top is optional - getting down is mandatory'.......
So true! I like that saying 👍
Thanks for watching 😊
Fantastic effort and superbe video …. Hope to see you for the cup of tea next time you try it …. Hopefully in better weather
Definitely, we’ll let you know next time we give it a go! Thanks 😊
A bad day for it that wind is gale force thanks again for your time making these videos
The wind definitely played its part yesterday, full respect given once it asked us to leave the fells. No argument from us! Thanks again 😊
Wowzaz!!!! That weather was ferocious!!!
Right decision guys!
Great video 👏👏👏
Loved it! Right up our street but once you can’t stand up in high winds it’s time to leave!! Thanks 😊
Wow, that looked crazy on Fairfield! 🥶
Definitely invigorating!! Its a great route and even the the weather couldn't make it less so. Thanks 😊

Thanks so much, definitely a wild day. Very invigorating but once the wind told us it was time to leave we did just that!! Thanks for watching 😊
That appeared to take a toll on you both.
Take us back there on a gently warm sunny day ... great route :-)
It certainly did and yes, we’ll be back on that route in better weather. It’s a great flowing route too. Thanks 😊
Good call, enjoy the debrief , amazing effort ,well done .
Thanks Andrew, very tough going but we expected no less. The winds however, much stronger than expected as they made the decision for us and the 23rd peak wasn’t to be!
Great effort guys . Sensible decision taken .
Thank you, appreciate that 👍
Just in awe
Thanks 😊

Great video guys, outstanding effort with epic weather! 😂
Definitely epic! Absolutely loved it though! We’ll be back soon enough for more punishment 😂 Thanks 😊
Oooft, absolutely brutal. Fair play to you both for getting as far as you did, think i'd have bailed after Helm Crag, if i'd even made it that far.
I must admit, part of me wanted to stay in Grasmere after Helm Crag 😂 Thanks for watching 👍
Fantastic effort from the both of you , it looked very tough going on your Fairfield footage! Well done and good decision making getting off the fell 👍
It certainly was, Fairfield onwards was very tough going! Thanks for watching 👍
Jeez guys well done for doing what you did happy you guys was safe
Thank you, crazy conditions! Never been in winds like it when it got really bad. Thought we were going to be up there all night, fearing to get up!!
Great effort. Front crawl is for swimming not fells! Good decision. Best wishes to you both.
Haha, so so true! Thanks 😊
Amazing effort.
Thank you very much 👍
Great video. Good decision.
Thanks, I think it was the best thing to do. Hate coming off route but realistically had no choice. Thanks for watching 👍
Think you did the sensible thing not to carry on with your route, brilliant vlog as always guys 👍
Thank you, definitely considering the weather. The wind was horrific!! Appreciate you watching and taking time to comment. Thanks again 😊

Hi
You two run these mega miles over tough terrain, but I don't see you eat or drink. What do you do for "fuelling"?
Thank you. We got a video uploading now, may be ready tonight though could be Sunday morning. We’ve tried to talk a little about our fuelling but it’s very distance dependent.
Oh, man. You guys make me feel very lazy.
Haha, love being on the fells, better than normal life!
@@TrailRunningCouple Indeed. The plebs aren't up there
