I agreed with your thumbnail, but I had an overall more positive opinion of this. Those last 30 minutes were a series of scenes that were really breathtaking and use the lego aesthetic to the fullest, which I think the first 2/3 of the film doesn't do as well. And also that's where all the impact was, so I don't really see how you could call this rushed. Going over Daft Punk, Happy, and Alright for the conclusion of the conflict (him being inspirationless for a moment, influenced by execs) worked really well. And yeah, not made for young kids. There's swearing, very real issues of race and poverty, and is slow-paced overall.
