    **************************************************************************
We leave the build for a city adventure. It turns out we are just a short drive and a arsenic ferry ride away from Seattle so we’re off on a day trip to Seattle.
It’s such a fun trip into the city, but don’t worry, the forest life is what we love. So we get back to the build shortly, and then we take on the rest of our supply line plumbing. We are getting so close to our big inspection!
    ****************************************************************************
And now a little back story on us, in case you just found us on TH-cam. We’re Sara and Ryan. We are your average suburban family, but 10 years ago, we purchased a raw piece of land in the Hood Canal in Washington. We’ve been developing this piece of property slowly, and this year we knew it was time to go all in. So we purchased a log cabin kit home and decided that 2020 would be the year we built a house on our property. We plan to build this cabin (as much as we can) on our own.
Unfortunately, COVID-19 put a delay on our cabin kit being produced and delivered in the time frame we had originally planned. While we could have just waited it out and pushed back starting on the build of our home, we decided to shift gears and change our course for the time being. We purchased a 30 foot yurt, and will be setting it up as additional living space when we begin to build our cabin.
In the summer of 2021, we FINALLY moved to the Hood Canal so we could start the build of our future home. While we are building our home, we are living in a camper trailer and the yurt that we built in the summer of 2020. We hope to have our cabin kit home built by the summer of 2022. Just my husband and I are building the house. We get help here and there from friends along the way and we do plan to get help on the roof but other than that we are doing it all on our own.
Follow along with us as we build our dream in the Hood Canal.

I quote Sarah, "OH, good. You guys are doing a good job". There somebody else said it. And I agree. From Boston.

Sarah you frightened the beegevas out of me!! I took your title of the video as you were giving up on the build and moving!!!
I’m so glad that you are not! You guys work so bloody hard on that home it would be a shame to give up now!
Good to see you take some time out with the kids. I’m sure they would have enjoyed their time away with mum and dad. It did look like fun l must say! Keep going you are so close now! Then Ryan you can toss that tool in the back of the shed!! You are doing so so well Sarah and Ryan! I admire your continuing ethics and morals on this build. Pat yourselves on the back! You deserve so much praise. Just think about all you do in a day. Amazing!! Take care! My prayers and thoughts are with you all! Big hugs!

Loving it. I got to thinking when I seen you sitting upstairs next to the toilet flange. Depending on your layout you could put in-wall storage for TP and supplies. I have always like places where the TP was close and easily accessible. I didn't get a good look but the wall to the left of the toilet is dead space kind of. Cant remember the kids bathroom but maybe there too. They sell in wall units prebuilt but those cost a few bucks. Enjoying the build.

Not so much traumatized, but certainly over plumbing in general!

Guys, I love watching your videos but please be careful with the chickens on the heads. Recently I saw a video where the husband got pecked in the eye really bad. Please be careful. Thanks.

Om ni vill va energi snåla så extra isolera golvet lägg in isoleringen underifrån från källaren . Ni sparar massor .
