The targeting is bonkers, her S3 is pretty good ST dps and S2 is amazing. Less Defense ignore than Rosa, but hers is unconditional. One of the safest bossers atm
Actually, isn't it the same DEF ignore? Rosa have a flat -60% when against Heavy Targets, while Typhon only need to hit 5 times with a 10 seconds gap to do -60% on any enemies.

So Typhon is NOT BETTER than Rosa! They serve different purposes, so it's not fair to compare them.

I'd say she is on the lvl of surtr, mlynar and chalter, but not texalter and kirin yato since their utility is unmatched.
Her module is SIE-X, which increases her ATK to 115% when attacking enemies with 3 weight or above. Her module upgrades improve her Talent 1, which gradually reduces the target's DEF with each attack (from 50% at base to 60% at level 3 module). Her Talent 2 also increases her ATK to 160% (170% at potential 5) the first time she hits an enemy during the skill duration. And then there's her S3 at M3; she gains 10 ammo, and each ammo deals 5 instances of Physical damage equal to 175% of her ATK.

Thus this unit, Typhon solves all of that problem. Must Pull

Well typhon advantage against other broken unit is that she will always lock on to her target until the target die or her skill ran out. And since she use ammo type skill, bosses long revive time and invincibility is not a problem to her While other broken unit may kill the bosses faster than typhon, but sometime the bosses ran away outside their range, or that their skill duration ran out because of bosses long revive and invincibility.

Typhon is undeniably powerful and safe against a lone boss/elite due to the lock on but when it comes to mowing down a swarm or an elite/boss running in middle of a swarm of enemies she could never hope to compete against chalter. It should be noted that typhon can only deal with elites well 1 at a time. If it's a swarm of elites things will start getting iffy where as chalter can just simply casually mow down an elite army as long their defense/hp isn't truly in the realm of absurdity.
Think of it like this Thyphon is AMAZING against single target but terrible against multiple enemies Chalter is also AMAZING against single target and also amazing against multiple enemies She also debuffs enemies speed and defense and also multiplicative damage so...
Typhon is stage dependant. She's excellent against an isolated boss as she can focus firing on the boss alone no matter where they are in the map. But the moment the boss steps or stays within a crowd of enemy, she suddenly becomes really bad because of her random targetting.
It's interesting how there are more and more ammo skills, which makes chalter feel better especially when the module releases, with chalter typhon has 91% for 11 shots, 65% for 12, ... if my math is right(I checked its totally off because chalter bonus ammo is not counted). Before it just used to be ash and toddifons, a permalimited unit and a niche anti sarkaz unit. Also apparently the ammo skill of chalter is displayed incorrectly as its 20% for all other sniper, according to fandom, so way higher activates

She is quite broken lmao Her s3 is multiplicative so a skalter buff makes her one of the best boss killers in the entire game if not the best thanks to how her s3 works
I think her s3 would be pretty damn good for general use too after killing the major target if the field didn’t become static on target death (yeah I know you can just end the skill but I prefer to get the bang for all the ammo right away instead of needing to wait for enemies to walk into the field)

Tbh, Ebenholz is a lot better as an elite killer than a boss killer. Especially when there's a bunch of trash mobs around, as his S3 won't be wasted on them. I mean, sure, Mlynar and company do it better. But Ebenholz has his uses.

the skill may deal a good amount of Damage, but it does take quite a while due to the slow attack speed of 5.5s after all
And with the fact that her skill 3 is ammo skill, so giving attack speed buff won't help her much.
