This is a really great and thorough video. I loved all the screenshots and the feature where you can see what’s coming….that’s awesome! Thank you for sharing!
I make a big container of salad to last the whole week at work. I take a bit out of the big container every day. I use spring onion, chickpeas, radishes, olives, small tomatoes, cucumber, beetroot etc I weighed each food that I put in the big bowl but when using my fitness pal I’m struggling to work out the daily macros/calories in the app. I put down the big container for the week as a meal, but can’t find a way of using grams to reduce the amount to a single portion size for each day Any thoughts, any apps do this?
Way that's worked for me ... add it as a new recipe, select the number of servings the recipe contains, and then when logging a portion, I choose how many servings I'm taking. Works smoothly.
I just started my 14 day free trial. I'm pretty surprised at the calorie goal it gave me for Weight Loss. It is 600 cal more than the Calorie level I'm already having trouble losing fat with. So that is a bit weird to me already.
Yeah not sure if that's accurate, but I did get this email from the team at macrofactor: Regarding the nutrition recommendations you got from the start, you may enjoy this article that explains how your initial recommendations were generated, and how the app makes ongoing adjustments from there. Most of the coaching functionality comes from the ongoing adjustments, not so much the initial recommendations. On that front, you may enjoy the section of this article under the heading "Popular calorie counting approach #3: Using a calorie calculator." And, for that matter, you may also enjoy the section of this article under the heading, "Advantage 2: Accounting for logging and digestive idiosyncrasies." That should give you a pretty good idea of the sorts of errors inherent in initial TDEE estimation equations, and the general advantages of MacroFactor's approach to making ongoing adjustments.
@archygrey9093 The algorithm adjusted by a lot over the first 3 weeks, for me. I'm pretty impressed. It works so well. I've lost almost 15 lbs now. Good luck!
I want to switch from myfitnesspal to macrofactor but I have so much data on myfitnesspal. Is there anyway to import the data from myfitnesspall to MacroFactor?
@@mightymander6740 So I ended up using myfitnesspal after using the free trial of Macrofactor. There is no way to import the data. It is a nice app though.
It's not the macros it's if you plan on using the app to adjust your macro intake there is a lag time for it to learn more about your habits, that I was previously unaware of.
Bro. Sit on your hands for the next video 😂, also would suggest taking notes or use key points to remember things you want to discuss or maybe use a slide show of notes.. instead of reading from a script and talking so slow. This video was extremely stressful in many ways 🤣 great review though!
yeah nah looks bloated as f, it doesnt need all this funcitonality lol. holy sht Imagine this - You open the app and all it is is a database and you select the food and how much of the food you want to add and it calculates macros and micros, and then you could split the bulk meal into smaller meals etc all done seamlessly. done.
Is this a commercial? Did you get money for it?

I just save the the bulk recipe as one serving and then when I add it to the the daily tracker I will use 1/4 serving or 1/2 serving etc etc
