This is the reason i do not like our religion. Every act of charity has selfish purpose. This is what we r taught n this fear is put in us. If u don't give u will not get. Why can't we train ourselves n our children to give without any selfish gains. Y not try n instill value n virtue of selflessness. Y can't we teach empathy n train self n others to help because we care n not because if we do not help then we will be punished. This is the reason I don't believe in scriptures And who knows whether these stories are true or somebody just wrote them. I would call this a despicable tale
There is a tale. And then that tale is understood but understood in a particular way that is in keeping with the person who is understanding. Now what he understood may not resonate with me. And is entirely ok. But why blame the story. Use your own internal discernment to see if something else comes out of this tale that speaks to you. And if nothing comes out of it....not for you. For me, I understood it as an energy movement. Stagnant energy is akin to the worst kind of sin that one commits against one self. Stagnancy leads to depression that is a death in itself. So the king did not use his humanity to do anything. He just gave up. Did not give comfort nor experience pain. A useless life. Donation could just be smiling at someone. Giving a rose to someone. Being a parent, a teacher, a warrior, a plumber.... Donation means living. Not holding back. Donation could mean anything. No one else is there to punish you. It is you not fulfilling your own purpose. These tales have to be understood within your own times and life experiences. ❤
@@framhouse2935 These tales r for laymen n thats how laymen understand. They do not n r not supposed to take n see the deeper meaning. As well say things clearly n distinctly. No sense saying it with implied meanings. Your explanation is akin to forcefully giving a positive meaning to a despicable tale. No offence held 🤞💐 Absolutely no one can live without exchange of energies. Ruling a kingdom is in itself a big duty. Not giving anything for free is the right way. In shastras it is clearly mentioned that donations should be given only to hardworking labourers or to disabled handicapped ppl who r in no position to work, else it is a sin. This imp point has been left out in this tale. My take is that this rule was made cos our wise ancestors could foresee the possibility of begging mafias if alms were to be given to all begging for help. N more importantly renunciation is considered to be the highest form of worship in hindu religion And this a hindu tale. My view, which few/many may not agree 🤞
Dhanya Ho, sir, Pranaam

Obey your advice

Too bad there were no English subtitles, but only Hindi. I did NOT understand anything in this video.
