thanks man... always looking for new things to practice... I do lots of videos too and its freaking hilarious how you have the disclaimer up front... amazing how people will badmouth a FREE lesson much less a GOOD free lesson. The internet is a terrible terrible place in a lot of ways.... thanks!
So ive been playing for about 8 years. Started on bluegrass got away from it for a while om just getting back into it. Im having problems with putting licks together like running a g lick into a c and so on i was wondering if you have a video on that or if you could make one please.
I find the more I think about these things the more it just sounds like a guy who's trying and ferking it up. You should set your friendly metronome to a tempo you can definitely handle with ease on a song you've taken particular care to learn the melody to, like, whiskey before breakfast. Now set that metronome, hit record on your phone and go day dream a while to this menial task until you come back to Earth. Replay that recording and listen to all the sick runs you just farted out on that guitar. You're. Welcome.

They're mediums and it's not easy to bend acoustic strings! The best advice I ever heard was to put more than one finger on the string, if the lick allows. And use a motion more like turning a door knob as opposed to pulling up or down.
Thanks a lot for the licks.....you're one of the best bluegrass teachers on youtube
Excellent crossover material. Marcel's explanations are clear and articulate--nicely done.

When I’m not trying to play this stuff I’m playing death metal hahHa
Are those medium strings? It's not easy doing bends on them!

Bend a string on an acoustic guitar? It's a beefy job.
