This is an ABBA classic for all December/January dates A beautiful song with a soft melody at the beginning, a melancholic lyrics with the beautiful and very sweet interpretation of the blonde Agnetha, a brilliant chorus with Frida (especially the power of her second voice in the second and third stanza) and a catchy chorus with the melody that grows and falls in love All ingredients of ABBA The lyrics are so emotional, contrast with an very catchy chorus It's no funny, it's melancolich, but have a message of hope "Happy New Year" is a great song from the 1980 album "Super Trouper" (which includes the homonymous song and "The winner takes it all" among others) It has a version in Spanish: "Felicidad" which was a hit here in my country Now in November 2021, ABBA include a Christmas song tittle "Little things" in their new album "Voyage", that also was released as a single the last week with a special video: th-cam.com/video/f0qO04Y9Pwk/w-d-xo.html ABBA donated your royalties to UNICEF, as They did before in 1979 with "Chiquitita" Best wishes to you with good music My best regards from Argentina
What a song. The lyrics are so deep and thought-provoking, and of course the production is perfect. Who can say what we'll find, what lies waiting down the line in another ten years time? That is such a frightening prospect for every one of us because ten years will mean that children will grow, people will die, marriages will come and go, and we'll all be closer to the final voyage of all. Beautiful but depressing. But mainly beautiful.
The best festive song from them. They just released their 1st ever Christmas song called Little Things, there is a video and its from their new Voyage Album. Merry Christmas from New Zealand. 🎄
If you start playing this song at precisely 11:59pm and 13 seconds on New Years Eve, ABBA sing Happy New Year the second it strikes midnight! I thought it's something some of you might like to try.
Hi tysheen The video dates itself when she sings " its the end of a decade in another 10 years time e.t.c the end of 89 so it was released end of 1979 "(good grief that was over 40 years ago) Have a happy new year🥳🥳
this song was first released in 1979 hence in the lyrics they sing what lies down the line 10 yrs later in 1989. recently i got a limited pressing of 6000 copies on blue vinyl with the spanish version on the b-side called felicidad a real collectors item. ABBA released one christmas song which is little things from the new album voyage.
I was a liitle one when i bought this album("SUPER TROUPER") in 1980 with my pocket money.I remember i was overjoyed.Best Xmas of my childhood ...Until now..that i got them back with their new music, i dive into this emotional ocean again.Unbelievable.
This wasn't released as a single until 1999 when it reached #4 in Sweden and #8 in The Netherlands. The song was re-released in 2008 and it again peaked at #4 in Sweden, as well as #5 in Norway and #14 in Denmark. Thank you for the Reaction 😊
Thanks for spreading the ABBA. What a wonderful wish for the new year, if only it would come true. Looks like they've hooked you. That's a good thing, welcome to the fan club. "Little Things" off their new album is a sweet little Christmas gem reminding us that it's the little thing that make it special. There are so many songs you haven't done yet. "The Name Of The Game" is a great one that gives both girls little lead section with them coming together at the chorus. One of my favourite Frida gems is "Like An Angel Passing Through My Room". Many many songs don't have videos. Merry Christmas.
Their Christmas song is called Little Things on their new album Voyage. Happy New Year always played to welcome in the New Year after the chimes of Big Ben
Consider their Super Trouper-album kind of Christmas-album, cause released in Nov/Dezember 1980 and includind this, certanlly made my christmas as 10 old kid then. :) Even they've now released in Voyage-album.
Another Christmas song to check out if you haven’t already done so, The Pogues and Kirsty MacCall and their song Fairytale of New York. It’s one of my all time favourite Christmas songs.
Thx ! Let her interpret, magical, natural, it does not need to raise the notes unnecessarily higher. With its particularly beautiful, "universal" timbre of voice, it explains that it is difficult to resume their songs to reach this level of interpretation.

They can sing without screaming!

This song was released on 15th December 1980.
I remember 1989 as if it was only nearly 33 years ago.
