How to reset the maintenance required light on your 2003-2007 Honda accord

This works, however the 1st step is unneeded.
1. With key in, car off (position 0) press and hold the trip button.
2. Turn car to position II (aka RUN).
3. Hold for approx. 10 seconds and then release.
Thats it!

Honda makes life easier for us! Nice video buddy! And for engine light…. Unplug the negative battery wire for 10 minutes and plug it in again and light is out! Or you can buy from your local O’Reilly a code eraser device and Plug it to the computer output and read the code and then click on erase code! Hope this helps for those who don’t know about these steps for engine light!

@@garygary9310 To the best of my knowledge, it’s a general maintenance light. Like a reminder, ie, time for maintenance (checkup) at the dealer. Example, time for a fluid change, or new air filter, reached a certain mileage which could mean you need _?_, etc, etc.

How do you do it for 2008 Accord v6?

1. Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
2. Press the SELECT/RESET button until the engine oil life indicator is displayed.
3. Press the SELECT/RESET button for more than 10 seconds. The engine oil life indicator and the maintenance code(s) will blink.
4. Press the SELECT/RESET button for more than 5 seconds. The maintenance items code(s) will will disappear, and the engine oil life will reset to 100.
5. Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
