1:49 Seems like the mud crabs are precooked and not live cooked to order.

Maybe it's because it takes time to cook them.

@@onebitetv5194 I'm only wondering because I have eaten there a few times in the past. And they always have a whole pile of live mud crabs (tied up) and stacked up in tall columns where customers can see them, so I assume that they would prepare the crab dished to order from that supply. They do have a large army of kitchen staff (I have never seen so many smiling faces from kitchen staff anywhere else).
I have never been disappointed eating at T&K. And while the crab prices have gone up over the past few years (the larger ones were about 800 baht last year at this time), everything is fresh and tasty, with still reasonable prices. In a price comparison, on the same trip I also ate at the Seafood Market (a large swanky place ) on Soi 24, where the customer buys the fresh seafood from one side and takes it to the other side cooking. Including the crab purchase price and cooking charge, it cost almost 3 times the price of a large crab at T&K.
