  • In Mark 13:3-13, Jesus speaks to His disciples about troubling events to come. This is in light of Jesus' prophecy of the destruction of the temple in Jerusalem. The passage starts with this:
“Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign when all these things are about to be accomplished?” And Jesus began to say to them, “See that no one leads you astray….” (Mark 13:4-5, ESV)
Underlying the disciple's question is the need to know the unknown. Like the disciples, we can often find ourselves consumed with "when" or "how" things will happen, instead of resting in Christ's faithful word.
This sermon is from our series, The Servant Son of God, preached by Pastor Todd Odenath on 12/1/2024.
