Looks like a blast but that thing could use some high speed stability. I bet the AE86 coupe trunklid spoiler would fit on top your spoiler and act as a gurney, then you could add the Big Country Labs gurney to that for a double effect. A sandwich of spoilers to avoid a wing lol.
I don’t know if you’ve ever seen the AE 86 hot version, but it has a wide spoiler whale tail to help to keep more downforce. It looks like you’re not getting enough grip in the rear.
Nice! Even though the car is sliding it looks very well balanced on the limit and easy to bring speed corner exit. Of course a very good driver as well 😉 What tires are you running?
@@cpttrailbraking There are limitations with what tires I can run in Gridlife Touring Cup. 275s are not allowed for my weight, and AR1 isn't allowed in GLTC altogether.
Power to weight limited? This car is sick, I love my K24 GT86 can't wait to get some track time with her. I made 215wheel and 175 torque on a dynojet. What header are you running btw?
hmmm something tells me that there's not too much you can do to stop the 200tw tires from getting heat soaked. run at a power/weight where you're as light as you can get for the tire width allowed, and you'll at least be competitive on tire wear. Car looks great, and has to be super fun to wheel.
Ultimately that's why others are running 17s or even 18 inch wheels. Larger tires can take more energy. GLTC's rulebook stops at 2740-ish lbs for 245 width tires so I'm trying to drop my weight as low as possible.
@@JackieDing86 no seriously, this build is honestly offensive, just ask any car lover and they’ll tell you, if they don’t their lying. And even if I did make a video you’d have nothing to say because I wouldn’t put a non Toyota motor into a 86 as you so shamelessly did. Disgraceful….utter disgrace.
Looks like an incredibly fun car to drive
Sure is fun!!
Hachirokuuu!!
Ahh.. now this is the JD content I enjoy. N/a, high revving, v-tech. It just has a grassroots feel, that reminds me of the older days with the s2k.
Definitely. This car is my back-to-the-roots car and I'm gonna keep driving it forever!!
100%.... The M2 is a POS.
Absolutely amazing. This is the ultimate driving experience. Goals.
Very cool but I missed your entertaining commentary! Definitely a sweet ride!
Not gonna lie, seeing Jackie drive the GLTC spec AE86 around Autobahn North is so exhilarating!
As always, I really love the video so much.^^
I see K24 AE86 content, I immediately hit Like and tell my family I'm unavailable. Also, there's a lot of New Balance & Jorts enthusiasts out there 😂
1:21 gawd damn
New favorite car on the channel

now time for the south course in sept!

THROTTLING IT!!!!! Whewwww!!!!

It's still not driving how I want to, I need a little more stability in the rear to really attack those entries. We are running the 245/40/15 RT660.
Go wider in the rear? Nankang AR-1 is available in 275/35-15 I believe. Or just add rear wing 😎

Aha i see.. too bad 😢
Time to think about the spring rates to find balance! Good luck, I’m sure you guys will figure it out 😎

Did someone say 'rear limited'?
The tofu delivery is strong with this one. 😂✌🏼
Goals😍!!
Nice 😎
What in the setup makes it so slidey?
Have you tried adding some more toe in on the rear to help stabilise the rear?
Solid axle car
I don't know if it's the sound but this one seems more fun than the much faster m2.
Definitely the sound!
Jackie old school video, gonna rewatch this many time, amazing how the turn in dictate the rest of the corner.
Man braking into turn 1-2 take some skill and you got just that
It's dancing on the limit for sure!

0:14 initial D moment
I am curious, what lap time would be around Sebring with that configuration.
Probably very long considering my gearing tops out at 125 currently lol
I need eurobeat damnit.
I need this car in GT7
Man you still havnt put that trans cover back on that i took off at mido? ha
I did put it back on after this!!
Just need a nitro button for the long straight and it'd be untouchable .
the track was so fun for a first time I was the white gr86 there that day :)
Glad you had fun!! See you more often!
@@JackieDing86 Id love to if i wasnt a broke college student, but I deffo wanna do more of this esp after watching you do the same track
185 whp seems underwhelming for a K24 swap
GLTC is a restricted power class based on a bunch of variables, with the 86 being so light that's about the limit on his peak output.
I’m offended by this 86….
Build your own 86 and make videos about it then, and I'll comment how your build offends me too lol
