yes true. But I have to say, when the French Olympic team came through the opening ceremony with this song playing in the background, I thought it was the best!
Okay, it's good but it is not THE best, and this song is not even pure electronic in its classical understanding, it's more shoegaze/synth/dream-pop... Yeah, I know it's all connected but I think Couleurs, for example, fits the desctiption (''electronic at its' best) more.
@Adriana Gambina Wrong. You're confusing the song with the video which are not always about the same thing. The song is supposed to be about one's fascination with mystery or fantasy. The video is another story though. We may argue if the video is an allegory for child trafficking (Which I doubt) or just fantasy video about gifted children held in some governmental facility.
Thank you young german kids from 2012 for demonstrating to the youth of the future how live music must be enjoyed. M83 performed but the night was definitely yours.
So...the saxophonist definitely takes this entire song to another level. Absolutely incredible. Listen to the extra cheer from the crowd for him at 3:06-3:08.
Oh goodness... Hearing the crowd singing along to the melody at the beginning gives me the chills.. This song is amazing! I would kill to go to an M83 concert.
I fucking love live sax solos they're so fucking electrifying I am so fucking pumped right now I need to see these guys live at some point in my life holy fuck
A crowd where not even ONE SINGLE person is using phone and video record? Where everyone is interacting with the band and enjoy to the fullest? Damn, that's rare nowadays! GJ Germany, you did it!
One of the best concerts I have been to in my life. Everytime I watch this, it brings me back to this concert and unjust get goosebumps. What a great night that was.
This crowd is just so awesome. Next time they come to Southern California, let's all go to the show and get as crazy as this crowd. Think how much fun we'll have. See you there people.
***** Trust me, I'd rather be over there then here in America. The worst is the Misfits reunion show. Almost everyone's using there phone. It's just terrible.
This is the best saxophone solo ever played! I have never here someone play a saxophone solo soo well. It just fit's like glue to the rest of the song! They should have this in the original, it just soo good!
I don't think you'll experience a crowd as dynamic as this in the United States. Now, you might experience other things there, but not a crowd like this. Damn fine job, Germany.
Unfortunately true. I went to a Depeche Mode concert in Portland and it was just a sea of smartphones. And Canada's almost just as bad, went to see 30 seconds to mars in Toronto and it was the same shit. People can't just live in the moment, they need to capture it through a 5 inch screen.
I agree. But I've seen M83 twice in the US and about to see them a third time. Once it was all people videoing the performance. The other it was similar to this. Not as good but similar.
+Ben Foshager I will disagree somewhat. In today's 'concert industry', most of the U.S. might reign filming the moment as their first choice, but back in the 1970's, 1980's, and most of the 1990's, it was just like this, if not better at times. The problem is, most folks of the younger generation feel that technology should most always capture the fun of their moment in that period of time, but I feel you are wasting that moment worrying about getting a good quality live video rather than just setting your mind free and enjoy what you paid for to the max.
+Guny Fuentes I disagree. You failed to realize this concert is from 2012 though. Social media sites like Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, FB, etc didn't have the video sharing capabilities they do now. So you can't compare a crowd in 2015 to one in 2012. But I do agree that you should enjoy the concert instead of filming it on your phone the whole time
I tried playing the original sax on my alto oh my did I run out of fingerings for the high notes the Saxophonist is off the charts I believe he is in Fitz and the Tantrums check out “you are our of my league”…. Favorite songs right now are: Midnight City , Complete mess by 5 seconds of summer, Sit next to me foster the people and Big Jet Plane
i love everything about this show. The crowd was so amazing, so into it, actually interacting with the band, feeling the music into their souls ; the band is amazing each member is as his best but the saxo and the drums are WOW that’s probably how heaven sounds like !
Toasted Flatbread Asiago Ranch Chicken Club Seriously?? 2 years go by and no one says anything about this hilarious name and avi? You guys dropped the ball here.
watching this while studying for the final exams at Uni makes me realize: God damnit I miss summer and good music festivals! Awesome band awesome crowd!

Same! Always loved the sax (especially growing up in the 80s and 90s), and now as a beginner player, I'm using this as a reference to learn from
Electronic music at it's best.
Swapneel Ghosh I was your 200th like
Agree
You underestimate the music
Okay, it's good but it is not THE best, and this song is not even pure electronic in its classical understanding, it's more shoegaze/synth/dream-pop... Yeah, I know it's all connected but I think Couleurs, for example, fits the desctiption (''electronic at its' best) more.

So...the saxophonist definitely takes this entire song to another level. Absolutely incredible. Listen to the extra cheer from the crowd for him at 3:06-3:08.
definetly!
Ben Foshager word its 2017
Exactly! The crowd cheering is proof it's the best part of the song. Really takes me back to the 80s and 90s when I grew up
