We stayed at this hotel approx 1yr ago and really enjoyed it. Booked a king balcony room which was great. Loved the pool, breakfast etc. the only reason I wouldnt go again is the long drive from the airport(at least an hour) and were unlucky to strike terrible drivers both ways.
Great video and many thanks for the advices! that’s a huge help when you are planning your trip! We will go there in March 2020. Still don’t know what kind of room to choose, cause I can imagine that you have not so much privacy staying at a pool access room with people switching by all the time. Definitely will try to get a wing 2 room.
thanks for posting this video! we're gonna be there in May and now I've got a picture of what to expect! was getting a bit anxious if it was as good as the pictures show on the internet.
I would love to stay here but I think the history of the hotel scares me more than the price. I believe this used to be the Sofitel hotel which had the most casualties compared to other hotels in the area during the Boxing Day tsunami. Perhaps they had more rooms at their hotel at that time. Interesting tho.
Thank you for the review.....just a query on the price of the drinks. You said it was pricey, what are we talking about in aud? Thanks again thinking of going there in September 👍
+Vila Semaan I recall the drinks are probably just a bit over the cost of drinks here in Australia. Like a beer cost 8 AUD, cocktails around 15 AUD. anywhere else in Thailand drinks are super cheap, but you can get table water for every meal and juice and coffee for breakfast which is all pretty good. It was hard for us to come up with negatives for this place like drink prices. Hope you enjoy your trip in September all the best Rob & Ange 😃😃
Nice review :-) Thinking of going there in January. What about food and drinks I read that it is really expensive. What is your expirience. What is the cost of cocktails ? Also would you recommend half board Also are there many restourants and bars at the beach or near the hotel, or is it mostly the only option to eat and drink in the hotels own places ?
+Michael Christensen we recommend getting full board there are places nearby but they don't look that nice we got a deal via luxury escapes for around 130 AUD per night, the value is probably the best deal we have got so far traveling. Cocktails cost around 10 -15 AUD each but you can get them cheaper at happy hour. Hope this helps Rob & Ange 😊

How expensive are drinks exactly? Saying they're expensive is relatively. A price guide would be nice :D
