It is *always* a pleasure to see you creating those fine pieces of furniture..err… art, I mean! 😅. Happy new year and keep them coming! Cheers, __Frank
Hello, old friend! It's been a long time since I've said hello! I've been busy with work lately, so I've been late with uploading videos. My New Year's resolution is to always capture more of my work in videos, but the reality is that it's hard. Of course, it's a good thing that I'm busy, but I'm sorry to those who are waiting because my TH-cam updates are late. Thank you for always supporting me, and I will always support your health and peace. Happy New Year!
You've made many pieces of furniture. Start with a simple chair! There's a saying that a good start is half the battle. Thank you for watching and Happy New Year!
So excited for this!! These videos are not only amazing craftsmanship but are also so calming, soothing and relaxing to watch. Thank you for the new content!!
You did a great job honoring Nakashima. I thought for a moment that you were going to do housed, blind wedges in each of the back spindles and then realized it was just the outer, large spindles. I have never made a chair, but will try it soon. Question: the outer (large) back spindles you wedged at the top to prevent the spindle from pulling out. Did you happen to also do that on the underside of the chair as well? It seems like it would be logical to do so since those two components are under tension while in use (but the small spindles are mainly in compression)?
Compared to Nakashima's work, I am far behind. Please think of it as just an imitation. The wedge is a reinforcement. It cannot be inserted structurally underneath [I don't know if I understood the content] In the original chair, only the two large ones on both sides were reinforced.
Thank you for watching. I bought it from a domestic company. [I don't know if overseas shipping is possible] Here's the link. Beautiful! Thank you for sharing your inspiring art with the world. 😊
Thanks for watching!
Making a chair like this is harder than making a dining table. So many parts have to fit together just right. Great result.
It was easier than I thought, using tools to make it faster.
Thank you for watching
Happy New Year!
Beautiful and inspiring! First time I've seen a jig for drilling spindles at the correct angle.
Brilliant drilling jig 👍
Glad it helped! Happy New Year!
THANK YOU!

Excellent as always. I've made tables, doors, picture frame but not a chair yet. Still seems complicated to me 😂
