Hi Tone & again great to see you looking well.... Wow that's stunning the director actually contacted you & it just proves the videos DO reach beyond the ordinary Beatles community & well done & who knows one day you'll receive an email requesting a chat with maybe a Mr McCartney or a Mr Starr eh! Great update as always & all the best to you & Mrs Beatley Tone.
Thanks very much Stephen, Im doing ok thanks. Yes really nice of Alan to take the time to talk to me which was really appreciated.. Glad you enjoyed the video
In 2017 I hosted the Sgt Peppers documentary at our cinema and interviewed Alan on stage, then gave him a lift to his hotel and spent ages talking and having a drink or two in the bar. This documentary is going to be brilliant, packed with facts we never knew and most importantly will be honest, made by a man who has John Lennon running through his blood, veins, heart and soul 😊❤
Hi Dino, great story mate . Yeah Alan seemed a lovely bloke and gave us some great info. I think this film is going to be brilliant so cant wait to see it especially the directors cut version. I knew you were posh mate from your accent but never thought you had your own cinema. 😂
Great news Beatley Tone your looking great Tone hope your doing well! So much good news coming out Beatles and solo Beatles so much to keep up with! Nice of Director to talk with you! Thank you for bringing us so much news keeping everyone informed can't wait to hear your interview with your director friend! Next week Solo George then Disney plus Beatles 64 vinyl plus all these Beatle john projects movies and so much more nice to be a Beatles fan Thanks Tone great video!
Thanks very much John, glad you enjoyed the video. Yes it's a great time to be a beatles fan right now with so much going on. I think this film is going to be excellent. I'm doing ok thank you
Thanks very much glad you enjoyed the video and love the channel. Biopsy was a bit of a struggle but they got what they needed in the end and now I have to wait a couple of weeks for the results
you are dropping a video early today. Hope you are well and the procedure of Monday went ok Interesting video still listening to it. PS Only a week till the 50th Material World is released which I am looking forward to. take care Mark.
Thanks Mark. Biopsy was a bit of a struggle but they got there in the end , now I have to wait a couple of weeks for the results. Glad you enjoyed the video, I think this film is going to be excellent. Also looking forward to LITMW box next week.
Morning Tone, wow what an interesting interview you had. Really excited to see this documentary , it sounds like it was done right to say the least . I had been thinking there would be no new things about John left to tell, but it looks like this will be the one to see. Thanks for all of this great info, take care!
Morning Sharon. Yes it was great to have a chat with Alan about this and he gave some great info about the movie. Yes I think there is plenty of stories that we havent heard because so many people who were friends with him haven't spoken in public about him . I think this film will be a real eye-opener especially the stuff about the 1981 tour and I cant wait to see it. Glad you enjoyed the video, have a great day my friend
Im catching up - as i've been away.....Yes, im excited man - borrowed time sounds like its gonna be fantastic. You must be so excited yourself speaking to all of these people in the Beatle world! Well deserved man i look forward to reaping the rewards of your labour......so much product isnt there - but - it IS a great time......
No worries Kier , hope you had a great time away. Yes its all getting very busy and exciting and a great time to be a fan. Think this is gonna be a great doc
Thanks for this update Tone. Been away for two weeks and off-net so a lot to catch up on. This sounds great, so really looking forward to hearing about things such as the proposed tour. Such a tragedy that John and Yoko never got to do all of these things or give us more music. Looking forward to your director interview ahead of the film's release. Well done on getting such a coup. Looks like a wealth of new information and unique interviews on the horizon. And a director's cut too. Keep up the good work. Cheers.
Very much looking forward to this, I'm also a Python obsessive so I thought I recognised the name. I own and have watched Almost The Truth many many times, and for those who haven't seen it, it's the "Beatles Anthology" equivalent of the Pythons. This sounds like it will be an amazing movie, especially any further information on the 1981 tour. I've read various things over the years ranging from, as you mentioned, venues being booked to it being nothing more than "Wouldn't it be fun if..." studio banter, so to get the actual info on that will be fantastic. Thank You as always Tone, can't wait!!🙂
Beatley My Friend, fantastic video, this documentary will be amazing with all the insight interviews, John will be Forever, I can’t wait to see it, to hear what he wanted in the tour, all the people who knew him, close to him, Set List would be fantastic, what he would have done, I miss him, Beatley will this be on Blu-ray , honest perfect film of John I can’t wait Thank You My Friend, how are you everything okay, you’re looking good, Takecare, Besafe, Always, Steve
Thanks very much Steve, glad you enjoyed the video. Yes very excited about this film, I think it's gonna be excellent. All good here thanks, Im doing ok
Hi Tone. Really excited about this one and was unaware a world 1981 tour was planned. That wouda been really something. Real nice of Mr Parker to contact you and giving you...and us...a heads up on what to expect. I look forward to your interview with him. Lots of exciting Beatles and Beatle related stuff going on these days.
Nice Video Tone! Nice to hear that Nat Weiss (Eppy friend/lawyer) was interviewed at the end. That interview must have been done ages ago since Weiss passed in 2013. Certainly likely one of the final people from the Beatles era who witnessed a lot. Well done on the interview with the Director Tone! This may not be estate sponsored but since the director only interviewed people who knew John for longer than 5 years that gives it a solid stamp of authenticity in my book. Congrats again friend :).
Thanks very much Andy. You have just made me realise that I made a mistake in the video , I said Nat Weiss but I meant to say Alan Weiss who was a journalist from NBC. It was great to be able to have this chat and I agree with you, I think this is gonna be a goodun.
Here's another cool story about my dad. As I said, he was a jukebox vendor. We had a racola jukebox he had drilled a hole in the side of it for an auto a track player. So if you wanted to play an 8-track. All you needed to do was put the eight track in and it would play through the jukebox speakers no wish he lives long enough to teach me about the electrician skills that he had. So some of us have these kind of stories about our family and they are meaningful and help us remember the importance of them in their absence.
Thanks for this. Sounds more interesting that I had expected. Good to know it will be on DVD and Blue-Ray as I’m not a movie streamer. Let’s hope Daytime Revolution is likewise.
You're welcome. Daytime Revolution is available now on blu-ray and dvd buy only in Region A and 1 respectively. Still waiting for a version playable on Uk and European players
Hi Tone, another great video. I thoroughly enjoyed that overview of your chat. I will definitely be getting the DVD. Great work mate. Have a top weekend 😊
Exciting stuff Tone, and a bit of a coup for your channel! You've got me buzzing about seeing the film. Thanks also to the director for sharing the extra information.
Thanks =Rob, glad you enjoyed the video. Yeah really nice of Alan to take the time and give us some great info. Also buzzing for this and it feels like a long wait after having our appetite for it whetted
Hello Beatly Tone, glad you’re feeling better. Looking forward to seeing John Lennon’s new Documentary next spring, will there be a Soundtrack Album & CD release of John Lennon’s music 🎵 similar to the Imagine Movie 🎥 Thankyou for the update! Stay well!
You’re welcome John and thankyou. No i dont think there will be a soundtrack album for this as this not a film made by Apple so permission would be needed to use John’s music
Huge update! Thanks. Now I can't wait for movie. Lots of new info. I assume this would be a rehash of old Lennon stuff. I was wrong. I just ordered the Sgt.Pepper movie by Mr. Parker. Kudo's to you on getting call from Mr. Parker and look forward to interview when movie comes out.
You're welcome Ted, glad you enjoyed the video. It was great of Alan to call me , we got some great info. Yes it's all very exciting and very much looking forward to seeing this movie
Hey Tone, breaking Beatles news reports and you're reporting now on a daily basis. Sounds like we're in for one good ( except how it ends) film not to mention your interview. Keep it coming Tone
Hi Beatley Tone. Hope you are continuing to do well. This is such exciting news. I cannot wait for May/Junes 2025. Ones things for sure, I will most certainly be buying the extended Director's Cut.
The information about the planned tour is already fascinating. Quite exciting you were able to talk to Parker and pass what you found out on to us. Thanks, Tone!
Hi Tone. This sounds very interesting so thanks for bringing us the info and I’m looking forward to when you can interview him. I know in one of John’s last interviews he spoke about going on tour after the second album came out. I had no idea that a tour was actually in the early prep stage. There is also that audio diary of John’s from September 1979, which of course pre dates the recording of Double Fantasy, in which John mentions how he’d like Sean to see Scotland and 1981 seems like a good year to do it. (Which always gets me when I hear it.) Anyway, this really sounds exciting. Thanks. For the Fantasy tour i can see him opening up with Starting Over. Obviously a good chunk from Double Fantasy and Milk and Honey. I could see him doing Come Together again and maybe Help in the slower way he said he wanted it.
Hi Michael, yes it's so sad when we think about what was planned and all the music we would have got if John was still here. Im convinced the world would be a better place with John Lennon still in it. But this film is very exciting and im really looking forward to seeing it
Yeah he is definitely missed. I would like to think the four of them would have gotten together maybe to make a song, maybe just to jam. Maybe just socially. No pressure to be the Beatles again. But I would have been happy just to see a picture of the four of them as old friends smiling. But we’ll always have the joy of the music. And we need a little joy especially here in the US right now
Wow. That was very exciting, I am really looking forward to this film - I hope I get to see it. Thanks for sharing this, and I can't wait to see your interview with Alan Parker on your channel!
Congrats my friend! That is some coupe getting to talk directly to the director, and in typical 'Beatley Tone' fashion, passing that a long to the rest of us.This period of John's life is for me, still shrouded in mystery, but I think we are finally about to get, going by what you just said, possibly THE Lennon documentary we have always craved for? Not the usual rehash of the same information, and opinion, but one that could definitely fill in many blanks.Including John's future plans after, "Double Fantasy". I knew about a supposed appearance in a rally in San Diego? And touring the album. But never read or heard anymore, than this.Certainly no details as in who was on board for this world tour, or what a set list might be.The DVD alone sounds like it will a barn stormer when it is released, especially with all the added extra interview material. Like I said congrats mate, on really being the first, that I have seen, to not only talk with the director, but 'break' with all the juicy details on this forthcoming Lennon release. As Billy Connolly once said, in character, at the end of a certain mock-umentary "We wait with baited breath" 👍❤
Thanks Mac, glad you enjoyed the video. Yes it was great to speak to Alan and get some great info about the film. Tbh it felt like we barely touched the surface and I feel sure there will some great stuff in the movie that he didnt discuss with me. I am very hopefully the this will be the Lennon documentary that we have been craving for
@@beatleytonesbeatleschannel Thanks for sharing mate.Cheered me up, no end.Hope you and your family are doing well❤.Mine, over here in the states, are in complete shock after the last couple of days.😮💨God, help us all!😔And I mean, all!!
Hello Tone, this is really interesting. I think I have read one interview with John where he mentioned that he would play songs from all parts of his career in future tours. He mentioned "I want to hold your hand" and "Help". But to get that full list, would be really interesting. Looking forward to see this movie when it comes out!.
Hi Tone- Thanks for an insightful review of the new John Lennon doc. I could never really understand John's negative attitude for anything Beatle's-related after the band broke up! It seems that everything I've read post Beatles he "trashes them" (very disheartening!) which that includes himself! A lot of his best work was as a Beatle. If he wasn't a Beatle . . . . . . . would he have been anybody? I would think he would have been very proud of it (ie. success, craftsmanship, musicianship, song writing, graphic design, etc., etc.) and his Beatle buddies . . . . . . please set me straight . . . . . I home the new film sets this issue straight . Thankyou! . . . . .Beatlefan Dan USA♥
John always blew hot and cold on everything. he would say one thing one day and completely contradict himself the next - that's just how he was. Around 1973 till the end he seemed to always talk very favourably about the Beatles
5k brilliant tone congrats buddy You mention the jam, been playing them lately! In your Ringo vid you also mentioned Robert Plant Alison Krauss album, love through the morning, through the night off that album.
As a lifelong Lennon fan I find this documentary a very mouth watering prospect indeed. As you say, a lot of those connected with John and Yoko in this last decade of his life are not getting any younger and it is historically important to get their take on this period on record, film,. video, page e.t.c. As many have already passed on, for example Leon Wildes John's immigration lawyer, passed away several years ago, but did write and publish his account of this time in a very fascinating book indeed. Eliot Mintz has just published his book about his time with the Lennons, so I wonder if he's involved in this film. Having enjoyed Alan's movie about Sgt Pepper both at the cinema and on Blu ray, I am looking forward to this new documentary immensely. In closing, on seeing the poster for the film, and having visited the Dakota in October, I was surprised to see that the entrance where John was shot was a lot smaller than I imagined (if you'll pardon the pun) All the photo's I've ever seen in books and magazines all make it look this huge place, which to me it didn't seem, however it was a sobering time to be stood there only yards away from where we all lost John. But moving on from this we must always celebrate his incredible life and all the amazing music he made and the pleasure, happiness, joy and inspiration it gave to all of us as fans. So here we are with another Lennon project to look forward to next may/june. I can't wait...
Glad you're excited about this Terry, me too - I think it's going to be brilliant. Funnily enough, I thought exactly the same when I went to the Dakota. lots to look forward to. Take care mate
I knew that there was a plan for touring in 1981 but never realised that the tour manager would have been Henry "The Horse" Smith who had worked with Led Zeppelin and Aerosmith, and having just read an interview was road manager for Roberta Flack when John Lennon was murdered and stated they were touring New Zealand at the time, which by the time they would have been told of the murder would have been mid to late afternoon on Tuesday 9th December. Photos of Henry Smith do appear in Richard Cole's Autobiography released in 1992 and Aerosmith's Walk This Way Autobiography in 1997 and I think he was interviewed for the latter.
Thanks, Tone! You rock... I have told this before, but this video makes me worth telling again. 1995 august my band opens for the noel redding experience (sigh. Noel could no longer pkay!) and noel redding band has Earl Slick on 1 guitar. The nicest coolest dude from lake tahoe nevada...he talked to me about recording double fantasy AND tour that never happened. Said John wanted to do a retrospective of his career from beatles i want to hold your hand, help, strawberry fields, across universe and others that we will probably learn about. He was choked up talking about this and i quickly changed to talking shop (guitars, amps) and his home lake tahoe a majestic snow driven place. A superb guitarist btw For story completists. Noel redding experience was: Noel - bass vocals Anthony krizan - guitar vocals Earl slick - guitar vocals Vinny appice - drums Opening band - Napoleon Blown Apart
Cheers Russ, cool story. Ive seen Earl Slick play live in David Bowie's band . Nice story. Napoleon Blown Apart - bloody fantastic band name - well done mate
Thanks, mate. Hope all is well. One day I will transfer napoleon's 1994 NYC beatlefest performance of tomorrow never knows. As a 3 piece I think we kinda hit it. I will let fellow beatles fans tell...coming soon to a TH-cam near you
Great video BT it must have been amazing to talk with Alan Parker I really like some his films like Birdy, Angel Heart and the commitments great films ! Really looking forward to both documentary’s. I knew there were rumours of Lennon doing a tour post 1980 but I always thought it was just a rumour but your comments suggest there was more substance to it
Actually this is a different Alan Parker. I guess he uses his middle initial (G) to differentiate. The info on the tour is one if the things that im really excited about learning about
Great update Tone! Random question for you, I noticed that a lot of BBC anchors and reporters have that red and green rose? pinned to their clothing. Would you let us peeps in the US know what that symbolizes or stands for at this time? Thanks! Keep up the good work!
Hi yeah sure. It's actually a poppy and over here we wear these during November to commemorate the heroes who died in service during the wars fighting for the freedom we now enjoy. These get sold in shops, schools, on the street, pubs etc around this time and the money raised goes to the families of servicemen etc. We wear these up until the Sunday nearest to 11th November (this coming sunday) which is known as remembrance day (I think you have something similar in the US - Armistice Day) . After sunday you wont see Uk presenters wearing the poppy
Hey Beatley Tone, excellent video I’m very interested in seeing this movie and will be getting the blurey!! I wonder will Paul and Ringo be included in the interviews? Is the sgt pepper movie the same one that was included in the sgt. Pepper box set? That was Great. Take care Tone thanks for sharing this information Take Care!!!
Thanks very much Joseph, glad you enjoyed the video. No Paul and Ringo wont be in this film and Alan G Parkers film is different to the one in the Sgt pepper box set
Hello Mr. Beatley Tone I am very excited about this nude John Lennon documentary and I’m also very happy to know that it is gonna concentrate on the last years of John’s life rather than concentrating on his assassination Now that you have this information, it is clear that even though this documentary is gonna have Talking Heads the stories that they’re going to tell will be very interesting because these are people who knew John well It is also very interesting to know that John was planning a tour in 1981 Now like you and like most of us, I also don’t know what the set list is gonna be, but what I did hear from Yoko was that he was going to sing I Wanna Hold Your Hand and if I am not mistaken, while he was singing this song, he was supposed to get on his knees and hold Yoko‘s hand That would have been very beautiful, and it makes me very sad to know that John wasn’t able to do it, but the angels needed him in heaven I am also really looking forward to when you actually do a video interview with the director I’m sure it’s gonna be an awesome interview Thank you very much for sharing this information with us Blessings to you and your family and I will catch you on the next video
Hi Angie thanks very much , glad you enjoyed the video. the tour stuff is going to be really interesting but I think also Alan has got some great people to talk about John and we will hear stories that we havent heard before. I think I had also heard that I wanna Hold you hand was going to be in the set. but I never really believed it as it was just speculation and didnt seem like the sort of song John would be interested in performing in his 40s. Hopefully we can get Alan on the channel nearer the release date of the film to talk about it . All the best to you Angie, take care my friend
amazing video, IN Oct 1980 it was announced John would tour in UK papers, I remember reading it, Europe and Japan? I also found out he was going to play New Zealand, he was going to play ..I want to hold your hand live also maybe she loves you, 2 songs he was planning to re-record. He also recorded a new version of Strawberry fields in studio in 1980 with new guitar rhythm , which was meant to sound amazing, not sure if he sang on it? Hope Street of Dreams exists which was described to me by Jack Douglas. Films sounds very good, but tour plans heartbreaking..........
Thanks very much, glad you enjoyed the video. I do remember rumours about the tour at the time but I never really believed it was going to happen until I saw dates announced and ticket prices in the NME - which is how we used hear about tours back in the day. After all, he'd never done a tour before so what were the chances eh
Well hi there mate wow I didn't know he did the Pepper film. I did like that one a lot . And the drink DR. Pepper.... LOL OK moving right along !!!! With all you are saying is verry interesting. And yes I am glad they are doing this + being 81 he is getting up there too. Clap clap clap I am so glad that they didn't bring that all up too about him being killed... So cool I do like the poster. Yes the tour for John way going to be big..... But so sad so sad yes. Wow you really got it all mate!!! Wow I sure would like to get the Directors cut. Win I did help out on the Beatles Anthology film. I did get a nice Director cut of that and yes much longer... Now back to you mate :). This sure dose sound just Fab mate!!! Thank you so much for this video and take care!!!!!!
Yes it's very exciting this news and it's gonna be a great film Im sure Brad. Im sure you've told me this before but Ive forgotten, what did you do for Anthology?
I sure do look forward to it all!!! And I did have at the time Appl people wow were pulling film clips together to make this. So A friend and I have some of our video stuff in the movie, I did a hole video about all :). I will try and find it for you ok. Let me go look for it mate cheers!!!!
Ok I found it. Wow a sure am green at this LOL!!! But the number is 37. And the tidal is this just in :). Well there you go:). Lat me know what you think ok!!! I do look forward to it mate!!!!
I'm just wondering on what Yoko, Sean, Julian, Paul and Ringo think about this or any other John Lennon or Beatles documentary ? Is it on record if they liked or disliked any, or certain parts of any ?
Yoko is well known for actively curating John's legacy (the Doggett book cancellation is an example). However, with Sean now in charge my impression is that he runs a more benevolent regime. Who really knows what they all really think though?
Well they wont have seen it yet Phillip. But usually it's not really a matter of whether they like it or not - Im not even sure if they check these kind of things themselves - its more likely they just get their lawyers to check whether there is anything contentious in them. I asked Alan whether he expected an any kickback and he said he didnt
I guess you probably figured this out. But just don't be surprised if for some reason you stop getting press service from the Lynn estate. I would imagine this is not something authorized by the letten state. However, sometimes you have to go outside the official narrative of Apple records or other things to find facts that they don't like for political reasons. These things are unfortunate but that's part of business. So standing strong getting behind something you truly believe in that Womack is a great guy and is doing a great job with now Evans memoirs and photos that next book is going to have twice as many photos he had said. So that's going to be really cool. So still not happy with not being able to comment on the live stream yet, this is probably some sort of ineptness with TH-cam or simply my inability to figure out what to do. So typically, there's a place to put comments right below the like and dislike buttons dot that wasn't there for your stream. I don't know why. I'm going to throw this one on youtube. And wish you the best. Thanks.
So here is the link to live stream th-cam.com/users/liveUvZlLs5Cvhs .The place where you comment during the actual live stream are on the the box on right hand side of the screen and if you watch the video , you will see everyone commenting in real time and me answering every comment. This is where you comment when you're ac ally watching the stream live. After the stream is finished you comment underneath the video as usual . hope that explains everything
I didnt see Jack Douglas listed on the original email that i got but the list wasn’t complete. Something to ask Alan later although im sure Jack wouldnt meet the 5-7 years criteria that Alan set
Not as exciting as a new Ringo EP hey Beatley Tone?! Wonder if Sir Richie would've been on the tour. And could you be knighted after returning an MBE and becoming a US citizen?
I doubt very much the Ringo would have been on the tour. Andy Newark more likely as the drummer. John would have got his knighthood for services to British music . Whether he would have accepted it is another matter
All right so I grab the comments from the streaming video on the right side. I'll try to do that. It's a pain in the butt for me because I use everything in an inverted state so that the text is white on a black background. I'll try to do that I don't even know if it's something I'll physically be able to do and my fiance's cognitive skills are so poor since her stroke that she can't even answer the phone so she's unable to help me with that. Next week, he goes to the hospital for 5 days. They take her off the anti-seizure medicine she's on to try and look a seizure! Barbaric right? But the neurologist who we really trust thinks it's the only way to give her better medicine. He's actually a first guy of maybe 10 doctors that says that she could without having any seizures. And I believe he can back that up.
Yes sounds brutal but they know what they’re doing so i guess you both have to trust the process. Im not sure what you mean by grab the comments but i just meant yhat you can see all the comments that were made during the last stream. The next time i do a livestream that area is where you would write a comment or ask a question during the stream and i will pull up your comment on the screen and answer
I'm glad the FBI conspiracy theories garbage was dropped, all that is just for cranks. Good news also that there's no focus or back story on the pointless piece of scum who ended his life. I feared there might have been a sort of "little did John know what was lurking in the background" angle to the events of his life. I would be quite happy for it to end with the last recording session with Jack Douglas on the 8th December. We all know what happened next, but I'd prefer it not to cast a shadow over the documentary. Just focus on his life.
More sleepy was a real scumbag that the way he screwed his artist that he managed especially Chuck Berry is deplorable. I agree with not mentioning the name of John's assassin I remember at the time it was thrown around like advertisements for breakfast cereal. These things give validation to people who murder someone. It's still happening today but not as badly with those people that want that sort of attention not it really sucks. My dad was murdered and didn't have any sort of good press about him. Actually, he was a New York mobster for real. And people ask me if he was a bad guy. I tell them no I loved him he was my dad. He was killed three days after my 8th birthday. He worked 6 days a week on his vending machine business he had pinballs and cigarette machines. And I remember when I was 6 years old that I had got a race car set for christmas. It used for see batteries. This is a 1970 6. Where there weren't 7-Elevens open 24 hours or anything like that in New York city. So my dad a master electrician even though he had worse vision than me who is blind. Hardwired that race car set to run on three batteries. So that's my father.
TIME ON MY HANDS BY RINGO STARR I was him hauling about listening to this that finally did. This is a pretty good song. Rather cliche country however, I hate this stupid ass bro country movement with drum machines and the like that this is one of the best Ringo songs I've heard in decades I'm unsure about buying the album when it comes out. Are you really was pleased with this record though.
Alan G. Parkers. It Was Twenty Years Ago is one of his brilliant documenteres. Especially in Blu-ray with an extra 2 hours. I did get to speak to him on the phone. But, I didn't get filmed in the end. But, his movies are totally Honest & Interesing Brilliant. I shall at the front of the queue fir the Blu-ray
That is awesome that the director contacted you! Makes me want to see the film!
yes very cool

Hi Tone. Great update. Love the channel. Hope the procedure went well on Monday. You're looking great mate.
Wow. Tears welling up just hearing about the film. Thank you so much for sharing this.
You're welcome my friend . Glad you enjoyed the video
Cheers.
Yes this should be excellent Dave. Cant wait to see it
Very much looking forward to this, I'm also a Python obsessive so I thought I recognised the name.
You're welcome James, Im sure this film is gonna be great. I need to check out the Python film.
Glad you enjoyed Python fella, it was a pleasure to make... You'll love what's coming!
Hiya Tone, great update, really looking forward to this, thanks for sharing with us, take care my friend, cheers, Dave
Cheers Dave, glad you enjoyed it
Absolutely Awesome News Beatle Tone
Thanks very much Brett, glad you enjoyed the video
Thanks Tone. It sounds like it will be a very interesting film. I'm really looking forward to it.
You’re welcome. Me too, i think it’s gonna be excellent
Yes very grateful to be able to chat to Alan about this Jim and get some good info. Its a great time to be a Beatles fan
Hi Tone i have the status quo doc he did and this one should be even better i have not seen the jam one he did grateful for the info take care.
Hiya, I think this is going to be brilliant and looking forward to it
Nice Video Tone!
Yes family stories are important
Thanks for this. Sounds more interesting that I had expected. Good to know it will be on DVD and Blue-Ray as I’m not a movie streamer. Let’s hope Daytime Revolution is likewise.
You're welcome. Daytime Revolution is available now on blu-ray and dvd buy only in Region A and 1 respectively. Still waiting for a version playable on Uk and European players
Hi Tone, another great video. I thoroughly enjoyed that overview of your chat. I will definitely be getting the DVD. Great work mate. Have a top weekend 😊
Thanks very much Rich - you too mate
Thanks Tone good wishes to you always
You're welcome Peter and thank you
I'm excited Beatley Tone.
Me too Gino
Looking forward to the documentary, it’s great that you got to talk to the man behind it
Yeah should be great Ronnie
Getting an interview with Parker, as well, is quite a coup, Tone. Looking forward to it. Well done.
Thanks Mark. It was great to talk to Alan and really nice of him to do this . He’s a lovely bloke too
Hey Tone, breaking Beatles news reports and you're reporting now on a daily basis. Sounds like we're in for one good ( except how it ends) film not to mention your interview. Keep it coming Tone
Thanks very much Charlie , yes I agree, this is gonna be a good one
Hi Beatley Tone. Hope you are continuing to do well. This is such exciting news. I cannot wait for May/Junes 2025. Ones things for sure, I will most certainly be buying the extended Director's Cut.
Me too Michael. Cant wait for this either
The information about the planned tour is already fascinating. Quite exciting you were able to talk to Parker and pass what you found out on to us. Thanks, Tone!
You' re welcome Stephen. Yes great to get some early information from the director
Hello everyone, just to clear up there was no set-list, rehearsals weren't supposed to start until after Christmas...
Thanks for confirming Alan. I have since realised since positing the video that I referred to Alan Weiss as Nat Weiss, apologies for that mistake
Can't wait for this Tone. You've given out some amazing information about A 1981 John tour. Wow.
Thanks very much Brian , I also cant wait to see it
It sounds very interesting. I'm really looking forward to it.
Me too Robin
Great video Tone really looking forward to the film sounds really interesting, we all miss John and George 😔🎸🎸🎸🥁
Thanks very much Gary glad you enjoyed the video. Im also really looking forward to seeing it
And we need a little joy especially here in the US right now
@@michaelf9693 Yes im sure it would have happened eventually had John lived
Wow. That was very exciting, I am really looking forward to this film - I hope I get to see it. Thanks for sharing this, and I can't wait to see your interview with Alan Parker on your channel!
You're welcome Lars. Also very excited to see this film
Thanks for sharing
I'm excited now for this film release now.
You’re welcome. Me too
Brilliant video Tone as always, thanks for the info. Great that the Director spoke with you. Your looking great mate take care Tone.
Thanks very much James glad you enjoyed the video and thanks very much, Im doing ok
@@macdrummer007 Thanks buddy. Yes a really head in hands time. Scary times ahead
Hello Tone, this is really interesting. I think I have read one interview with John where he mentioned that he would play songs from all parts of his career in future tours. He mentioned "I want to hold your hand" and "Help". But to get that full list, would be really interesting. Looking forward to see this movie when it comes out!.
Yes I'd love to clap eyes on a full set list if such a thing exists .Glad you found the video interesting
Sounds promising. Thanks Tone. Another great video
Thanks very much Sheryl, glad you enjoyed the video
Hi Tone-
Thanks for an insightful review of the new John Lennon doc. I could never really understand
John's negative attitude for anything Beatle's-related after the band broke up! It seems that everything I've read post Beatles he "trashes them" (very disheartening!) which that includes himself! A lot of his best work was as a Beatle. If he wasn't a Beatle . . . . . . . would he have been anybody? I would think he would have been very proud of it (ie. success, craftsmanship, musicianship, song writing, graphic design, etc., etc.)
and his Beatle buddies . . . . . . please set me straight . . . .
@@beatleytonesbeatleschannel Thanks very much . . . . I always enjoyed studying the ex-beatles and their post Beatles development!

You mention the jam, been playing them lately! In your Ringo vid you also mentioned Robert Plant Alison Krauss album, love through the morning, through the night off that album.
Cheers Martin - unbelievable eh ! Big fan of The Jam here - I saw them live 3s time back in the day. Yeah Rising Sand - great album
Thanks for sharing this info David
A superb guitarist btw
For story completists.
Noel redding experience was:
Noel - bass vocals
Anthony krizan - guitar vocals
Earl slick - guitar vocals
Vinny appice - drums
Opening band - Napoleon Blown Apart

What a fantastic video have you a great weekend also how is your day going ❤😊
Thank you
All right, you win.

Hello Mr. Beatley Tone
I am very excited about this nude John Lennon documentary and I’m also very happy to know that it is gonna concentrate on the last years of John’s life rather than concentrating on his assassination
Now that you have this information, it is clear that even though this documentary is gonna have Talking Heads the stories that they’re going to tell will be very interesting because these are people who knew John well
It is also very interesting to know that John was planning a tour in 1981
Now like you and like most of us, I also don’t know what the set list is gonna be, but what I did hear from Yoko was that he was going to sing I Wanna Hold Your Hand and if I am not mistaken, while he was singing this song, he was supposed to get on his knees and hold Yoko‘s hand
That would have been very beautiful, and it makes me very sad to know that John wasn’t able to do it, but the angels needed him in heaven
I am also really looking forward to when you actually do a video interview with the director
I’m sure it’s gonna be an awesome interview
Thank you very much for sharing this information with us
Blessings to you and your family and I will catch you on the next video
Hi Angie thanks very much , glad you enjoyed the video. the tour stuff is going to be really interesting but I think also Alan has got some great people to talk about John and we will hear stories that we havent heard before. I think I had also heard that I wanna Hold you hand was going to be in the set. but I never really believed it as it was just speculation and didnt seem like the sort of song John would be interested in performing in his 40s. Hopefully we can get Alan on the channel nearer the release date of the film to talk about it . All the best to you Angie, take care my friend
@@beatleytonesbeatleschannelI heard years ago somewhere it was 'She Loves You' and 'I Want To Hold Your Hand' he was thinking of doing...in concert.
Sounds really interesting Tone!
It does Paul. I think it's going to be excellent
amazing video, IN Oct 1980 it was announced John would tour in UK papers, I remember reading it, Europe and Japan?

Will this documentary feature any new unseen footage of John?
I dont know , sorry
Yes, we have some items...
I think the drawing and stage will look a bit like David Bowie's Glass Spider tour......
Why do you think that?
@@beatleytonesbeatleschannel because John drew a big arm/arc..? across the stage a bit like a giant spider, i read a few years ago,,

Sadly its part of the story
So that's my father.
sorry to hear what happened to your father. That must have been awful at 8 years old. But that was a nice story at the end
Can we expect a Yoko approved white washing with the obseqouis Eliot Mintz .
No
