Things tend to be become generic because someone at one point did something so impressive others sought to copy it and now so many people copy it to the point of ubiquity. That being said people tend to become really fucking good at playing the "generic stuff".
maybe some neoclassical and tapping in there too personally but yeah same lol. pentatonic is best that satanic shit he did with the gnarly squealing is something i wanna start doing now too lmao
Is because is the first one people learn. Is easy, sounds awesome, and a lot of great guitar players use it. So if you wanna play along to some Metallica you gotta master the pentatonic scale.
Wow dude! personally I don't give one rat's arse about generic or not but your playing is frickin AMAZING! like really bloody world class good! how are you not a world famous 'guitar god' or whatever they call them nowadays?
Demonic solo is basically all of Kerry King and most of brutal extreme satanic gore whatever metal. Pentatonic is our Lord and Davior MegaDave and the Wahnder boi Kirk Wahmett and in fact 90% of rockers.
Solo 1- Children of Bodom's 90s leftover Solo 2- Ron Jarzombek in 2007 appoves of this solo Solo 3- Michael Romeo after too many mocha shakes Solo 4- The vibrato never ends!! Solo 5- Kirk Hammett leftover without the overused wah wah
That is exactly what I came down here to say: the pentatonic solo one has MegaDave feeling personally targeted. Not to mention the fourth one (satanic solo) put Kerry King in the bullseye.

@@daoyang223 I absolutely agree... stevie and Ola have been my favourite two... but I cant see either of them doing tornado of souls backwards. And this fella is more educated and disciplined. @@LouisvilleRenaissanc Haha I like Stevie T. I don't think he can play like this guy though. I just really enjoy his technicality and his phrasing. He has a sense of melody that I enjoy thoroughly when he shreds. Reminds me of John Petrucci.

Dude! That "demonic" solo is so seriously goood (2:03 - 2:24)! I would listen to much more of that as a proper death metal (or darker heavier thrash-groove-industrial) band. It's a fully legit awesome piece of music.
Your videos are some of the funniest I know on youtube... No talking, just guitar and fun ! Perfect. And I like the solo at the end (although it was not in this video) !
I could swear that, as you played the first solo, I heard Tony MacAlpine whisper on the wind... "Don't be a BEOTCH..." Beyond that, you appear to be an insanely awesome guitar player. Law dictates that I must subscribe to your channel now. Keep on rocking!!!
nice job with the pentatonic.. I like the solos that are understandable and make since to me musically. It has a good flow, but doesn’t sound convoluted at all.

That "generic" neoclassical solo was one of the best I ever heard...
Try listening to stevie t. He is pretty close to Steve in my opinion
He's basically just flexing on us lol
@@metalheadblues yepperdoodles

Especially that sweep picking part.
The 4th solo was literally Slayer’s solos in 30 seconds
Also Morbid Angel
Nah, it sounded way better than any Kerry King solo
Pensei em Slayer na hora
It was played way too cleanly for Slayer
Ah good point
His first solo was so damn generic and uninspiring that I fell asleep for two months and just now woke up to post this comment.
Hahahahaha wtf
It was extremely well played
The tone impressed me more than the actual playing
@@matthewws5694 r/whoosh
That's right men!!
1. Yngwie
2. Periphery
3. EVH
4. Slayer.
5. Kirk Hammett
Nah, Periphery guys have a little more going on, for example Absolomb.
*Kirk Whammett
In a nutshell. They're all sick, though.
Yeah 2 is more reminiscent of some of Animals As Leaders stuff
2 is closer to meshuggah

I literally just came from your most recent video. Spooky.
You know, based on this video, generic is pretty damned impressive.

literally every time i make a solo, it always is PURELY the pentatonic one

LifeInTheMatrix Because guitar isn't valued like it used to be anymore. Guitar gods are basically a thing of the past.
That joke with 5 tonic bottles made me laught
Pentatonic solo = about every solo I’ve learned up until this point.
Demonic solo is basically all of Kerry King and most of brutal extreme satanic gore whatever metal.
Pentatonic is our Lord and Davior MegaDave and the Wahnder boi Kirk Wahmett and in fact 90% of rockers.
Kirk Wahmett😆😆
Thou hadth summoned me?
Dave tends to use some chromatics
Lord Of Onions the wah is everywhere at once, yet, nowhere ever. Wah shall rule the world. Wah like a ninja.
Pentatonic sounds really good tho
Solo 1- Children of Bodom's 90s leftover
Solo 2- Ron Jarzombek in 2007 appoves of this solo
Solo 3- Michael Romeo after too many mocha shakes
Solo 4- The vibrato never ends!!
Solo 5- Kirk Hammett leftover without the overused wah wah
You could say a bit of Mustaine for 5. But yeah, early days Hammett was number five on the money.
RedHot Lizard the Bodom bit killed me
I thought the solo was super sick and CoB is my fav band.
It hit home
Didn't sound much like Jarzombek. Btw he's one of the most creative players out there imho.

Sanjay kumar more like Vinnie Moore
Looks like Jordan Ziff (Marty Friedman rhythm guitarist)
I thought that. I had to double take and see that it wasn't him.
Yeah just like marty but with a bigger forehead to have space for that giant fricking brain of his

I actually really liked the Pentatonic and Classical solo

The tappy Mc tap-tap solo + the pentatonic one = instant Kirk Hammett!
Btw the first 2 solos were better than your average YT guitar playing.
Nah kirk likes to bounce between neoclassical and pentatonicky. Later kirk doh I could see

The prog solo was definitely Animals As Leaders and I’m not even mad

Opeth imo
1) aka Jason Becker (pre-diagnosis, at least)

@LRed13 it’s from the movie Happy Gilmore. It’s golf and the guy is saying to “tap it in.”

The Prog solo needs a unison with keyboard, synchronised to the double bass rhythm of the drums
The pentatonic solo tried to morph into Stricken by Disturbed.

The Evil solo is Kerry King in a nutshell and the Pentatonic and tapping solos are me trying to Neoclassical Metal shred on my SSS strat.
Neoclassical - Avenged Sevenfold
2000iq - Periphery
Tappy Mc Tap Tap - IDK

Idk but that neoclassical solo sounded like it had a wah filter on it. As always, very bad ass.
