Beautiful scenic road. I was riding Shimanami Kaido on bike, so I remember all those bridges :)
Go Speed Racer Go !! That highway drive was AWESOME ! I felt like I was in the drivers cab of a bullet train. You had a straight shot all the way out. And all those bridges, they were incredible and beautiful. However every time you crossed a bridge my stomach fluttered !! ha ha ha
The constant switch between double and single lane gives me anxiety. Not your fault but this is your only drive that I cannot sit back and enjoy due to the nature of the road.
Could you be doing this series , if you had to be using an electric car ifTesla is not allowed. From my Googling there seems to no japan nationwide network of high speed dc fast chargers other than brand T? You have driven many kilometers have you seen any network dc fast chargers other than brand T. A recent example if look look at the Out of Spec reviews. You tube series Dave Connor, his last road trip in an ev 6 of 6000+ kilometers with a minor exception was routine.
Chargers are placed in SA, PA, and rest areas, etc., but those are significantly lower output chargers. There should be no alternative high-speed chargers like Tesla superchargers, as far as I know.

しまなみ海道は海が本当に綺麗です。
橋と島と穏やかな瀬戸の海。
この世にこんなに綺麗な風景があるのかと思うくらいです。
橋を渡る車も綺麗な景色に、スピード落として走ったりしてました。
本当に綺麗でずっと見てられます☺

大島は通りましたが、亀老山展望公園は知らずに素通りしてました。
Trip Advisor発表の「旅好きが選ぶ！日本の展望スポット ランキング 2017」にて第2位というのも、今調べて知りました。
それは初めて知りましたが、聞いて納得です。非常に素晴らしい展望台でした。
