They will cut you off and will slow you down, but it’s up to you to stay alert and avoid colliding with then because they will make frequent stops. So the fact this driver got into an accident with a city bus leaves him at fault. it’s very basic knowledge and is covered in tests before you get your license.

The 'who's at fault' regarding the Tesla driver who hits debris in the road: he is 100%. The car was not totally disabled, therefore there was no reason for him to stop in the middle of the lane on a freeway. All he had to do was pull over to the side of the road and then stop and check for damage, not stop in the middle of the freeway
Apparently that is why he called it a "Tesla Car Accident" as opposed to just a car crash. As if a Tesla crash is something 'special' that everyone else must make an exception for, and avoid, lol! Nobody gives a damn what he was driving, and stopping in the middle of the freeway after he has already hit something is just 'driver stupidity'. All he accomplished was to make himself another un-avoidable object in the road! Whenever I see a Tesla, I stay as far away as possible on account of the non-driver guaranteed to be behind the wheel!
I must disagree with you. If anything happens, as in hitting something on the road, yes, get off the road if you can. However, the people behind that Tesla should have been paying attention as well. Instead you have a 4 car pile-up because none of them were watching ahead of them. I would bet you that they were all pre-occupied with something on their phone. My mother hit something in the road and she was forced to stop cold. The front wheel was cambered into the frame and she could not move the vehicle. Luckily, there was room to move around her and the people behind were watching and careful. But this is why i would say there is partial fault in everyone involved in that 4 car pileup.

@@AriesBrooksfailed brakes; usually happens when semi’s are going too fast and they “burn” through them, hence the use of runaway ramps in mountainous regions. but i think this guys story was different since he was on a regular road, definitely something having to do with his brake hydraulics. he actually handled this pretty well and there were only minor-moderate injuries w vehicular and structural damages
At the 31:32 mark I started laughing at the truck driving down the sidewalk until it was clear this person was just going for it not caring who they hit.
You laughed. I died laughing. 😂😭💀 Everytime I thought we were moving on to the next wreck, it was the semi again, creating more havoc. I peed myself, then when I saw the flames, had to gather myself. Something awful went awry.
The semi truck was fully loaded with gravel and destroyed 33 vehicles, sent 11 people to the hospital one of which had to be airlifted, damaged a car dealership and set it on fire. Thankfully no one was killed! The police investigation is recommending charges against both the driver and the owner of the trucking company because the brakes were rusted and not even completely hooked up properly despite the driver having completed work on them the weekend previous to the crash.

I live where the accident happened at the Auto Mall in Utah. I was at work when it happened. Yesterday they just found out that the brakes on the semi was 80% faulty and they are thinking about charges against the driver. But clearly you can tell that he tried his best to avoid people where possible. It's still talked about today
Definitely the drivers at fault for inoperative brakes. They are to be checked before each trip and adjusted if needed. We know he had air as the horn worked, but even if the air was gone, the emergency brakes would have kicked on. It looks like he didn't adjust them and then overheated them so they wouldn't stop, and when he finally came to rest, they caught fire. I'll bet he left more skid marks in his undies than on the road.

insurance and crashes must be different in USA to UK. If a speeding ticket is issued it goes to the car owner and it is up to then to tell the DMV the person who was driving if it was not them , if not they automatically have to pay. If a car crashes into you it is a similar thing, law changed not that long ago. Owner is responsible and up to them to provide the drivers name if it was not the owner. I also see clips of drivers getting pulled over in USA and if there driving permit is expired they usually are allowed to drive home and get renewed asap. In UK if you have no insurance or valid driving licence you do not get to drive that car , For insurance if you can arrange it on the phone there and then and has only just expired you may get away with it... MAY
Its actually a preferred strategy in many states (CA prominently) to run from an accident you caused and then just say you weren't driving the car involved. There is no legal recourse to this dodge.
At 17:45 you can clearly see the white 4 door pickup waiting at intersection because traffic was backed up, but after the accident the white pickup suddenly crosses intersection into the right lane and takes off. Guilty conscience maybe? The driver of the car that turned in front of the POV and got hit said someone gave him the OK to turn when it was not OK (obviously) to turn. I think the driver in that white pickup is the one that gave the OK to proceed and when he saw the accident took off.. Any thoughts?

The only thing that is sickening is you calling people who don't stop after an accident when they had literally nothing to do with it. I don't agree. I see easily enough space there for a lane change. The problem is that as soon as the driver starts to move into that lane the other guy slams down his gas pedal to close the distance to only a few feet. I see the blame all being on the other driver.

insurance and crashes must be different in USA to UK. If a speeding ticket is issued it goes to the car owner and it is up to then to tell the DMV the person who was driving if it was not them , if not they automatically have to pay. If a car crashes into you it is a similar thing, law changed not that long ago. Owner is responsible and up to them to provide the drivers name if it was not the owner. I also see clips of drivers getting pulled over in USA and if there driving permit is expired they usually are allowed to drive home and get renewed asap. In UK if you have no insurance or valid driving licence you do not get to drive that car , For insurance if you can arrange it on the phone there and then and has only just expired you may get away with it... MAY
Its actually a preferred strategy in many states (CA prominently) to run from an accident you caused and then just say you weren't driving the car involved. There is no legal recourse to this dodge.
At 17:45 you can clearly see the white 4 door pickup waiting at intersection because traffic was backed up, but after the accident the white pickup suddenly crosses intersection into the right lane and takes off. Guilty conscience maybe? The driver of the car that turned in front of the POV and got hit said someone gave him the OK to turn when it was not OK (obviously) to turn. I think the driver in that white pickup is the one that gave the OK to proceed and when he saw the accident took off.. Any thoughts?

I don't agree. I see easily enough space there for a lane change. The problem is that as soon as the driver starts to move into that lane the other guy slams down his gas pedal to close the distance to only a few feet. I see the blame all being on the other driver.
