For those not familiar, Animal Tracks made it so that places that you walked often would get dirt paths over them so you could see where you walked around your town. It was a cute idea in theory, except that if you so much as walked at full speed over any space, it wouldn't grow back any grass that day, and if you *ran* over a space, you could set it back several days. And then every player separately could wear down the grass. a couple months into our save our village was in chaos, no less than half of the town was bare dirt, we couldn't get some bugs to spawn because they needed full grass, and it just looked *so* ugly. We set up very regimented paths around town, no sprinting anywhere off the paths, and you walk at less than full speed whenever you can when you're off of them. It... would love to see more “history of” videos from you!
how on earth does this comment have no replies???
Well, the concept was actually invented by Bill Wurtz, with his video "the history of Japan" or some title like that. Bill Wurtz went on to create "the history of the entire world, I guess", which this video takes heavy, if not complete inspiration from with regards to the editing style.
no way a youtuber I like watches another youtuber I like
I recently found out that animal crossing is my autistic "special interest"
The fact that I knew 95% of the information from this video and still watched it to completion sold it for me.
