- Stockholm won the bidding to host Eurovision Song Contest 2016. The shows will be in the Globe arenas, including Globen, Tele2 Arena, Johannishov and Annexet. SVT CEO Hanna Stjärne says "I look forward to welcome Europe to Stockholm for one of the biggest shows in the world.
What do you think? Was it the right choice and will you be in Stockholm for 2016?

that's an interesting move, hosting it in multiple arenas in Stockholm.
sadly I won't be going to stockholm though, but I will be watching the BBC's (uk broadcaster) coverage

The plan is to be there next year! :D Since I know people in a city not too far away I just have to worry about flights and the event tickets. :) [and depending on if the trains will run later that week or not that]

Also, they announced that 10th, 12th, and 16th will be the dates for ESC 2016.

So Stockholm won the race ? I think I can live with that choice. And since Malmö got to host the contest last time, it seems like a fair decision too.

Forgive my American ignorance but what is Eurovision?
dlow53 It is one of the biggest televised events in the world where european countries (or rather members of EBU European Broadcasting Union) compete annually with one song per country in a vote to win and get to organize the event the following year. ABBA won it in 1974 which prompted their career. It's a very big thing in many countries here especially Sweden.
Hey I'd be interested to know what you think about this? I wrote a song which is in the Lithuanian national selection for 2016, please check it out. I'd love to know what true Eurovision fans think! Search for Vlad Max on TH-cam, the song is called 'Don't Wanna Let It Go' We're really hoping to be there - I've been to Sweden a few times before - Stockholm, Uppsala, Ice Hotel etc and I love it! By the way you have a very nice friendly nature in your videos, you come across very well on youtube!
De skulle tagit tele2 istället. globen är för litet
Melicia Storleksmässigt är Globen större än både Malmö och Köpenhamn och det skapar en bättre stämning och en enklare produktion än om man har det på en massiv arena. Frågan är hur det blir med Hammarby och Djurgården kring dessa datum. De an nog inte bygga om alltför mycket på Tele2.
Får plats mer publik i tele2
