    I don't care what the state of the auto market is, and where the economy and inflation is here in the good ole' USA. 65k for a top of the line Tacoma is mind numbing to me. Toyota, will do nothing but turn the working man/class to the uber reliable and freshly revamped Frontier. Especially those of us that want none of the assisted crap, want a physical key and ignition and want to drive our trucks without lane keep and sensors every 3ft on the truck. No thanks. I'll remain in my 2017 SR5 until I have to Fred Flintstone that Bitch lol.

      We agree! Just unfortunately all we can do is vote with our wallets, that's all the manufacturers listen to. I did my part buying my 3rd gen!

    I think budget tier models for each brand is around 38-42k, 45-49k for mid tier, and 50-55k for high tier. The halo tier fully loaded models are in the 59-66k tier. Toyota really dropped the ball on pricing since they will be on the northern end of all of these prices in each tier.

    • @teamoildrop
      @teamoildrop  4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yeah, they definitely do have a premium versus the competition. You will be able to get that value back on the secondhand market looking at the prices of used Tacoma's versus that of Colorados, Frontiers, and Rangers.

    I tried doing the same price comparison to all the legit brands (glad GMC isn't included) and found it really difficult to compare them all on certain levels of consumer. I think you are missing a category between absolute base and mid-tier. I'm pretty sure the SR5 is the most popular Tacoma trim, the SV for the Frontier and I think you are right about the XLT for ford and Z71 for Chevy. I just want to point this out because I have an SR5 2024 and barely looked into the TRD off-road or sport because I really just wanted a truck with creature comforts like heated steering and a trailer brake controller which I could only get with the SR5 minimum and all the other brands were pretty close in price for what I was looking for

    • @teamoildrop
      @teamoildrop  4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I totally agree! It's tough to get a full picture of the price range when just using the base, mid and top trims. A lot of manufacturers now slice that model among 5-6 different trims, this was just to help compare the high level elements of each manufacturers. Also we tried to make it "fair" by keeping certain features the same across each trim level.

      Interesting! Thanks for the insight, it's interesting how GM slots these two together but the GMC as a "nicer" model but then has a trim that's better specced for less money.

    Bought a Tacoma Off Road with TRD package. it's a good mix between the TRO Pro and Off Road. Has the Iforce Max hybrid engine, TRD Tires, and a couple of other extras minus the fox suspension and the goofy seats. Saved 10k-15k going this route. Later will upgrade suspension for far less.
