Do you normally do calves first in your workout or is this just to change the order of things?Interesting.I love the hand picked pieces of equipment and the hack squat and seated leg curl machine look fantastic.I find calves are stubborn but if they're a weak point or need to be brought up you can easily do them 2-3 times a week.Even if you dont have a calf machine in your homegym you can put a dumbbell on your lap,put a plate on the floor and do like a seated calf raise one at a time,do them with dumbbells standing or just throw in some bodyweight calf raises at the end of leg day.If i do bodyweight i'll throw in 100 reps at the end.
@@_etha_ The biggest my calves ever got was over 19 inches.I used to walk to my gym and back.Combine all the walking with 210kg standing calf raises,calf raises on the leg press machine and they were big.I swear walking does harden up the calves.I feel a bit torn about whether i should get a seated calf raise or standing calf raise for my homegym.I dont have alot of space left.Seated machine is smaller and one my gym didnt have.
More than that bro, his top set was 20 plates total. 16 plates is 720lbs alone, not counting the weight of the machine. So I think it was a nad over 1,000lbs

Bottom half of the rep is the key. Deep stretch. Standing calf over seated every time !

@Nekrocold there are a few studies out now that say seated is so much less effective (less activation), personally I wouldn't even consider seated
