Cassidy was just trying to help C.C at the start, but now she’s manipulating him without even realizing it…..Shes becoming more like C.C’s father
Actually it's actually reversed! In the beginning Cassidy only wanted to use CC but as they grew closer Cassidy started to actually become CC's friend. They're manipulative and sometimes they doesn't even know but Cassidy's present intentions aren't meant to be bad. (But I do agree they're becoming more like Afton 😔)

Yo fr in my AU Cassidy is a vengeful spirit and tends to be manipulative. The other missing kid’s souls were satisfied after William’s death, as long as he undergoes the same amount of pain they did, but Cassidy traps him in hell, so that he knows what it feels like to die and live on in pain. She kicked CC out of Golden Freddy after he was tired of sustaining William’s ‘hell’ after a while, so CC returned to his old house and found his plushies and possessed Shadow. That’s just my AU though.
