Thank you! Sakura Wars is one of my favorite game series, especially the third one. But few reacted to the opening of Sakura Wars. I miss a time when game creators were so imaginative. The Secret Force's public identities are a group of actresses, giant steam-powered robot rides the subway. crazy!
Sakura Taisen/Wars is actually a big 90s game franchise in Japan, like Final Fantasy. And the openings that you reacted to are the game OPs. Sakura Wars was actually well known for its ambitious concept & big production value even as a "mere" game at the time. It has great orchestral music, stage actors as the voice actors and full-blown anime cutscenes in the game which was a luxury at the time. It's about alternate history of our world in the 1920s where civilizations are still powered by steam engines (that's why the robots looks like a walking locomotive train than a sexy/cool humanoid figure like Gundams). They humans are fighting some magical evil forces as they decided to make organizations which specialize in fighting these evil magic users & warlocks. The frontline fighters are those with high enough spiritual energy (mostly found in girls) to combat the magical evil with their Koubu (mechs) or hand-to-hand combat depending on the situation. The protags also train to use their spiritual energy by managing their emotions through acting. That's why the defense organization also doubles as an opera house where the fighters are also actors who perform roles on the stage to entertain & spread joy to the people. The defense organizations don't only exist in Japan, as you can see. They have branches. Our OG cast came from Teito/Edo/Tokyo branch. Meanwhile, later on, you also see the Paris branch & New York branch. Those overseas cast mostly exist at the same time as the OG cast. The only cast that exist after a big timeskip is the last one. They are there after the OG cast retired from being at the frontline. Speaking of, you probably want to react to the _actual_ anime openings of Sakura Wars since now you're done with the game OPs. I might provide you the linx later.

Good reactions. But uh yeah... Sakura Wars is primarily a video game series as someone explained. Visual novel games with some action portions where get to know the cast and story and fight demons in the mechs. But they can also fight outside the mechs too if needed. They're a (mostly) secret organization that doubles as entertainment establishments like theatres when they're off duty. As someone explained, it takes place in an alternate steampunk history 1920-1940s (as of now). The first gen is in Tokyo, 2nd gen is in Paris, but interacts with 1st gen, 3rd gen is New York and current gen is back in Tokyo after a timeskip with a mostly new cast. Its a very fun game series, one of my favorites ever. Its great when you just... Wanna feel happy and are someone that gets attached to characters. Despite the epic openings, it can also be really goofy with some ecchi of course lol. Just good ol anime vibes. There's also a million spin offs. The series is mostly only in Japan except for the last 2, the newest on ps4 or ps5 if you have that. But recently fans have been translating the older ones which is awesome. HOWEVER the series has A LOT of anime based on it. Mostly OVAs, not super tough to find but you'll have to dig for them. The anime do generally take themselves a lot more seriously than the games do, but are still pretty enjoyable. They have their own openings too of course. So you may want to react to those in the future lol.
