Yeah! All that editing was definitely worth it 👍I appreciate quality Videos and this is one of them. Thank you for putting so much effort into your Videos Rich. Look forward to seeing the reveal! 👍👊😎
Seems everyone agrees about the plastic shock caps and servo horn, except Tekno. Guess is just a way to pad the cost of the buggy, since they know everyone has to replace them. Aftermarket?
If you were saying this about TLR, AE, etc, I would totally agree. Tekno is different though - they're a decently honest company run by true RC geeks. Although the plastic caps are finicky, they do work. The aluminum do work much better though - and only available from Tekno. As for the horn, that's an industry thing. If the RC industry would regulate the 23t, 24t, 25t thing, more manufacturers would include a decent horn, but def. not three.
@Rich I received my EB410.2 and all I can say is Wow. Beefy thicker arms and shock towers. So much easier to drive than the other 2 cars I had. Thank you so much for your help. I love my EB410.2 awesome durable tough and strong shaft driven.
God damn jesus mother mary and pablo! Amazing job Rich, this has to be THE most in-depth build review ever produced. Really phenomenal job, never seen such a look at a manual before, and the comparison spoke volumes. A+ job for getting so much work done in so little time for the rest of us to enjoy!
Your build reviews are simply the best on TH-cam, this is one of the most detailed and informative build reviews I have seen. Great Video sir, and thank you for spending so many hours to give us the info we need. 👍👍👍👍
After building and never breaking anything on the mt410 i would buy this buggy if I raced. Crazy that guys drive so well they can tell the difference in all the little parts me, I notice if a tire falls off on occasion.
Look at the price of the kit compared to all the other wheelers available. Plastic shock caps and servo arm aren’t something I would expect for a kit that’s $120 cheaper than its competitors. I think tekno did an amazing thing releasing a new kit for the same price as the previous mode.
I agree, and had to stretch to find things wrong 😉- One thing that's always needed on any Tekno is an Aluminum servo horn. I'm always particular on shock caps
Yeah, the main difference in the .2 is the forward mounted rear shocks....which people were doing on the OG as well. If you can get a good deal, get it
Thanks Rich. Awesome upload as usual. Great comparison between the two models, and I’m looking forward to seeing if there is any significant difference on the track.
Me too, trying to come up with a good way to compare - I'll be running almost identical power systems, both with 100% stock set up and I ordered the exact same tires. I want to show the EB410 running, then the EB410.2
The RCNetwork it will be very interesting 🤔 Not expecting to see much difference as far as lap times go but maybe some subtle handling improvements. I’m just a building enthusiast though. The guys at my local hobby shop are trying to change me into a local at the track, but, it doesn’t sit well with my mental health 🤯. So I’m only guessing, there’s no real experience to back up my feelings. Does small increments in handling equal better lap times, or just a better driving experience? Looking forward to part two!👍🇦🇺
Great! Was just looking around for the major differences between the versions. Got an offer on a standard 410. Does the new shock cartridge fit the old shocks?
Just bought and assembled my 410.2. My issue is I can mount my front and rear wheels on the car. Could it be possibly that I have the hubs on the wrong sides of the car in the front and back? This is my first 4wd buggy. Please help?
So you can't mount the wheels? The rear hubs are R/L, so that could be the issue if you put them on the wrong wide - check the orientation vs either mine or the one on Tekno's website. For the front's they also have L/R specific hubs/blocks, so yeah, also check the orientation.
You make great videos Richard 👍 Tekno sure looks like they have top quality craftsmanship in their rigs. Can't wait to see the EB10.2 run. Happy Holidays 🎄🤠🇺🇸☝️
Great work Rich, as always. I’m holding out for driving impressions before I decide to upgrade. But at face value, it looks like it’s going to be dope!
I want tekno to be my first kit. I really want the et410 but it is on backorder. Should I wait until it comes out of backorder or should I get the eb410.2, which is $30.00 cheaper then the et410?
@@TheRCNetwork yes I am planning to race once the track near me opens up. Waiting on amain to ship it now. Thank you for helping me with my decision!👍💪🤜
Fantastic build-review video...almost had me ready to jump to Tekno. The one thing I still don't get is their shock oil weights. Typical weights are in the 20-60wt range, so how does Tekno's 600wt compared to the weight numbering by other brands?
I have seen all of your videos and used a lot of your tips and build knowledge on my builds, thank you for helping the beginner to the experienced. I have been on the Tekno web sight and they give a list of parts to build a DB48, and with your videos most RC builders could build one, but you end up buying extra parts and having a lot of new SCT kit parts left over, and the cage is just another expence. How long do I have to wait for a Tekno DB48 kit? Are they stalling out because your the one who invented it? Sorry for rambling on.
The DB48 is a great RC, but yes, expensive to build...because you have to buy extra parts and are left with un-needed SCT parts. During the Dirt Nitro Challenge in 2018, it seemed like Tekno was on board with making the kit, and from what I understood, had already did most of the design. The hard part was the cage, bumpers and wheel fitment, as it's not just a cookie cutter type of thing. The other gamble was whether is was going to take off like the Mt410 did. With all the race vehicles under re-design, the DB48 got put on the back burner. I don't think it's lost cause, but not a priority for them, as they are a race company. There's been a few pop up on FB for sale though
I kind of doubt it. The ET410 is not quite the "race" vehicle like the EB410, which has pro-level competitions, thus Tekno will spend more time developing it to be better. However, some of the parts are compatible - like the wing mount, ackerman, rear hubs, front casters, etc. The 3.5mm hinge pins might work, but you'd have to get creative with drilling the arms out as well as picking up the ABCD blocks and inserts
@@TheRCNetwork just wanted to bust your chops man. Man I love My et410.2. Thanks why I'm getting the eb410.2 so most of my spare parts will fit on both. Should be here friday😁

600 is CST weight, which converts to about 45-47.5 in Losi or Associated oils
What gear pitch is the stock 81 tooth spur?? 48dp??
Yep, EB410’s are all 48, ET410’s are 32 and all the rest are MOD1
@@TheRCNetwork thanks, what size pinions fit?
Db48 question. Everyone should check that series out btw. What kind of top speed did you end up wanting or gearing that for? Curious
On the DB48 - with what I was running, easily 40-50mph. But I built it to handle on the track....but it was still hella fast
Are the chassis's the same length and shorter wheelbase comes from newer rear arms and hubs?
Chassis are the exact same length - the wheelbase is adjustable
Great review of the EB410.2. Is Tekno ever going to have a Desert Buggy Kit?

still crazy how they dont include the alluminum servo horn and shock caps.
It's my wish list for Tekno, but I get why they don't. It would be a nice to have
20 min of Tekno awesomeness 😃 So you think this is still a track only buggy, or can it bash? 🤔
I would consider any Tekno "bash" worthy - but I would cringe to see it bashed - it's a fine piece of machinery
Are you still running yours ?
I sold all of my 1/10th scale right after OCRC closed - it was the last 1/10th scale track within 2 hours of my house
Is the ET410 going to get the .2 treatment?
