I find that most modern referencing to Birkin is overdone and lacks the spontaneity that made her cool (if she was born in the 90s she wouldn't carry a birkin - and if she did, she would do it as the olsen twins did back in the 00s, rugged, overstuffed and thrown in the pavement). Loved this video. Bénédicte understands Birkin's attitude to dressing - it's all about that loose british interpretation of french codes

And silver ❤ (not gold!!) small party bag. Used to wear A line mini dresses in my 30s.. Also beautiful is a white outfit. Especially silk trousers.
An expertly crafted video. As a petite 5ft 2 and pear shape, I appreciate how I can still apply elements of her style even though our body types are completely different. I frequently pair a-line dresses with ballet flats, combine men’s shirts with dressier things on bottom (typically silk skirts) and love to combine different fabrics of the same colour. Saying this I was applying these elements before I knew who Jane Birkin was- it is just what felt natural and comfortable to me! She is wonderful for style inspiration though. ❤ Side note, I’d love to know where the light blue offshoulder ruched top that one of the editors is wearing comes from svp ?? I adore that colour.

I think her mini black dress is from Prada. Looks exactly the same, except without the small pouch sewn on the dress. Am I right? Definitely wouldn't pay over $3000 for a nylon dress at Prada. Foolish. I understand there's a linked to COS, but nothing there looks similar to the black mini dress.
Just a thought maybe to brush your hair before doing the video your hair looks very messy and dirty. Not very healthy either missing shine. Your skin had a great time as if you were unwell while filming. Just saying sorry about the bad comments but it’s to be helpful in someway.

I beg to differ. I believe we admire the likes of Marilyn Monroe, Grace Kelly, Jane birkin cause they knew exactly what looked good on them and went with it. You can't expect Jane birkin to look good in the kinda clothes Marlyn Monroe did. What is great about these women is they knew their bodies and used their bodies to make clothes look good and not wear clothes that were good themselves. The point being the model in this vedio is good looking but she really can't carry Jane Birkin style so well as a woman would with a body type similar to Jane. And being a fashion channel they ought to know that and be better at their job.
