For those asking these are SEA snails. Snails from water or ocean, not land snails you see in a backyard (Escargot). Three popular sea snails are periwinkles (darker shell), Babylonia areolata (this one) and then there is another seas snail that looks like the babylonia that is longer usually cooked in coconut milk. Where do you find these snails? Periwinkles are more popular so you can find those at some local seafood market, but the other two are usually Asian market. Do they label them? yes, the label is "sea food" from the sea. That's how they are labeled. Don't ask the owner either they won't know, just show them a picture.
+Kasita Max Awwww thanks 🙂 The music is from TH-cam itself. When you upload they have music available to choose from. So I am not sure of the name. Sorry.
@@ARCSTREAMS The market I go to rarely labels seafood, I had to track the name down so that's what came up. Some body must have been out to sea for a while to have looked at them and named them after a nip lol.
@@ClarissaCulinary hahaha yeah someone out to sea too long,,,and i never heard of a market that dont display names, but what i hate is when they give a false name or try to pass something off and something else
The shells are so pretty with minerals that need to go back to nature don't discard in trash. Put then in a creek or in the ground if you can't put back in the ocean.
Your voice is the best. Can't say the same bout the dish
I feel like I just took a yoga class :-)
Lmao! I was just watching this and found it so soothing. Your comment has brought me to stitches
Hahahaaaa
You right I started meditating and then I was listening to enigma

I got some Moon Snails from the Asian Market In Orlando Florida just now so I'm using your recipe from Lotte Plaza Market
I loved your video and will definitely try this recipe, your voice is pleasant to hear and you speak very clearly which I appreciate.

Your voice is just perfect for a cooking video. What can you compare the taste of Snails to?
Very similar to clams
Can you cook any snails
Great video
Do you have to purge the snails or is that only for wild caught snails?
These were already purged. I would definitely purge if wild caught and if purchasing be sure to ask if they are purged or not.
Mama mia *WOOORP*
these snails, areola are the best edible snails compared to other kind of snails. We used to grill them as satay
My stomach will eat my back before I eat a snail...your video was very interesting though.
😂😂😂😂
What's the song ?
Please do smr.
you do asmr too?
I get that question a lot, but no. I will look into it though. Thank you for stopping by have a great day🙂

Is there a wine alternative
The alcohol evaporates in the cooking process leaving only the flavor of the wine
I just microwave mine for 12 seconds. Delicious!
I don't know why on my phone volume extremely low could barely understand the commercial was loud however had volume all the way up on my phone
exactly!!
These aren’t regular snails that you see on the floor they look like snails from the ocean?
Thanks, gunna cook some tomorrow using your recipe
Screw the snails...that voice tho
Have no idea why im watching this
Me too. I could never eat snails. But for those who can, go for it😅!
I feel like this recipe would work with cooking banana slugs too!
I know this comment is old but, have you eaten a banana slug before? What was it like?
Why are the good ones always married?
