I thought this was the best produced music video when I was 15. I'm 23 now and still think this is the best music video ever. The song slaps too But whoever produced this video needs more recognition.
They own sound? It's not bad, but that gnere of breakdown, scream, cleans, breakdown with slower tempo its the formula of every band right now, they bring nothing new
Roberto Alejandro León Correa People are gonna have similar formulas. But it's a matter of one of their songs coming on and someone saying, "This is sounds like Oceans Ate Alaska!" every time. Rather than originality in song construction.
Jake is such good vocalist after James left for awhile .. but in a way , no one can never replace James … I love both vocalists .. they used their voices in a unique way . 💕
One of the most underrated songs ever. It's still one of my favorite songs and still one of my favorite bands. Its 2021 and I haven't really changed my mind about the band since 2016
They've grown so much since their EP and single. This debut is incredible and everyone is on point: James, Jibs, Adam, Mike, & Chris. Definitely highly anticipated release, overly excited.
You see the thing is, most bands are gig hungry and would jump at any opportunity to be on such a widely known tour. Secondly, going on Warped Tour would definitely help them grow in the U.S. (the most marketable country in the world music wise) and acquire a larger fanbase since they're still relatively unknown.
Easily my favorite band of 2015 so far!! I think The chorus was awesome but the transition was a little forced but other than that another great release!!
The choruses usually seem forced with this band but I think they actually handled it wayyy better in this one. It all flows more than like their last single did and some off their first EP
AjEgerman they dont want to flow, they want to be creative and artistic and go nuts but it sound good while being all over the place because that is more musical than normal metalcore bands
What I love about this video is you get the impression Chris probably only plays half the notes. Then you see a live performance / drum play through and he actually adds another 50% notes on top of the album version.
I feel like this band is sooo underrated. The singer's vocal range is amazing, lyricism is top notch. I've honestly just started getting into them but I'm fuckin hooked.
Album of the year! That accent in the cleans and their technicalities really sets them apart from the norm. And OAA live is amazing, killed it last night in killumbus
+tristan versteeg They did pull it off. Saw them in Vancouver and they played like gods. Screams were so on point that I questioned if it was lipsynced, but clearly wasnt. I cant even believe it
Although I'm not a fan of the high pitched scream and I think the song would be better if he stuck to unclean vocals and the deep below vocals they would lose all of their brutality and identity if James only did cleans its not the point of Oceans!! It's a personal preference obviously and I agree with you to some extent as I don't like the high pitch scream on any band or artist but I still fucking love this song and I can tolerate it and it suits the song and the band for them to lose that wouldn't be right if you get me hahaha
lol, i love the screams. not all people like it but a lot of people do. he does it for more intensity and power to really project the feel of the song.
lol, i love the screams. not all people like it but a lot of people do. he does it for more intensity and power to really project the feel of the song.
I really like this. It's one of those "stick to your roots" songs that has all the metalcore aspects that I love, but it still has a way of standing out and sounding different than everything else. It's not just one big blob of screams and breakdowns, but has a lot of good riffs and vocal changes and such.
Can people stop saying they are fucking copying other bands and that they're "just like" another band you might know Like fucking hell, every band is unique in their own way, so can't everyone just fucking admit the fact that they make amazing music, that would make this world so much easier for everyone here... gosh
There are a lot of great post hardcore bands though, obviously not the PTV and mostly SWS (except SWS's first album is okay i guess) but stuff like dance gavin dance and a lot like birds are great, but if they think this is p-hardcore theyre obviously fucking retarded lol
Chorus has been in my head for days now AND I still can't get over that breakdown, the pits better be insane when they tour the U.S. because I wanna see that!
This vocalist is amazing.
He sounds a lot like the vocalist for In Dying Arms.
***** True. Those highs screams definitely sound similar though.
James Harrison. He's such a nice guy too. Like he is polite and shit XD

Hard agree, but I think Alpha Wolf - Akudama beats this by a slim margin
You said that because never watched Hollow Bodies from Blessthefall
I love it too
Their singer looks like a kid, but his voice says leviathan. Falling in love with this band.
Ryan Lawrence Their new singer is cool, but I miss James. What do you think about their new vocalist?
Like the Mastodon album or a big creature???
@@xx6edytdwp9xx i could say Jake is good in clean vocal.. But James have a extraordinary vocal chords.. 😂😂😂

We Came As Romans musically and Miss May I vocally, this has nothing at all original in it.
LuckyMoniker LOL not even remotely.... wow. Like are you that fucking stupid?

+Jamal Tabbs his cleans just sounded a little different. Haha his screams and growls have improved a shit ton

Jamal Tabbs they were still pretty amazing then. I've always been a huuge fan.
One of the most creative bands around. The vocalist is an absolute beast.
The video editing is truly beautiful.
Indeed.
Aesthetic.
Extremely well done
Always Incredible.
This band is like the combination of all the best metalcore bands we have had till date.
You can find James living in the static here!

Really like the oceanic theme of the album! ✌

The Amity Affliction uses a lot of ocean references in their past two albums :)

Leora Ojadi yeah it was actually the old vocalist that left, but yeah this new guy on Lost Isles is 10x better than him anyways imo
Allen Daigle actually I was talking about the guy who was on Lost Isles, James Harrison. He left, and the new guy is Jake Noakes.
Listen to his low growls and high screams. This guy is a sick vocalist.
What I really love about them is that they sound the same Live!
